Jaroslaw Sikora Leads IPT Malta Main Event Final Table
The record-breaking €1,100 IPT Malta Main Event is down to a final table with an EPT champion and several online pros among those fighting for the title, trophy and €221,000 first prize. Jaroslaw Sikora, a 27-year-old poker pro from Krakow, Poland, is leading with 7,600,000. He was originally supposed to be in Thailand right now but - unable to get a visa in time - he had to cancel that holiday and decided to visit a friend in Malta instead. He certainly has no regrets now as he has a big lead over his opponents.
Sikora mainly plays multi-table tournaments online, with his biggest result to date coming last October when he finished fourth in the PokerStars Sunday Million for $41,363. Making the final table of the IPT Main Event is his best live result. Frederik Reusch from Germany is second in chips with 4,730,000 while EPT Prague champion Julian Track has 4,375,000. Georgios "Zisimo7" Zisimopoulos is one of the most experienced players at the table. Ranked #12 in Greece’s all time money list, Zisimopoulos has live tournament winnings close to €300k and online winnings of nearly $2 million, include victory in a WCOOP Omaha event for $100k. Georgi Abuladze is another name to be reckoned with - the 26-year-old PokerStars qualifier is the current Estonian online champion.
Day 4 saw several big names fall by the wayside including EPT Grand Final winner Steve O'Dwyer and Eureka Prague champion Balazs Botond who both started the day with big stacks. Also out: JC Alvarado and Bryan Paris.
All remaining players are already guaranteed a €21,000 payday. Click here for the final table player profiles.
