Lucky Player Hits Americas Cardroom Bad Beat Jackpot for $175,232

One lucky player won the Bad Beat Jackpot at Americas Cardroom for $175232 just one week after opening his online poker account.

The hand was like this:

In a 6-Max Table and $0.25/$0.50 stakes, two of the players at the table folded to Poohbah911 who opened to $1.50 from the cutoff holding AA and only Toptrainer made the call from the small blind. The flop came 4 of diamonds, A of hearts and A of diamonds.

Toptrainer check the flop and Poohbah911 slow played his monster hand. The turn brings the 5 of diamonds both players checked and the river is a blank (6 of hearts) and Toptrainer made it to $1.88, Poobah911 raised to $5.64; Toptrainer shoved and Poobah911 made the call.

Poobah911 (AA) shows Quad Aces and Toptrainer (3 of diamonds and 2 of diamonds) shows the steel wheel for the Absolut nuts.

Flopped Quad Aces vs Straight Flush what a Cooler!

And here is a pretty sick sidenote:  One of the individuals cashing out has already done so three times in the past 12 months with a Bad Beat Jackpot.  Word Son gets yet another piece of the ACR Bad Beat Jackpot with just over $14k.

Payouts:

Poobah911 - $175232.1

toptrainer - $116809.7

cgalley - $14605.59

SwollenColon7 - $14605.59

Word Son - $14605.59

bkr190003 - $14605.59.

Poobah911 called the Americas Cardroom support line right after winning the $175K and he could not believe it what had happened.

“We were all celebrating in the office here even though he took us for nearly $200k,” said Julius Maxwell, Spokesperson for the ACR online poker room.

Maxwell added:  “The native Californian opened his account less than a week ago turning his $100 deposit into a $175 payday.  Talking about a great sign up bonus.”

Toptrainer is a seasoned player from the old DoylesRoom and he joined the poker room back in 2009.

The other 4 players made a $14K payday just by playing at the Winning Poker Network, which operates Americas Card Room.
