Todd Brunson almost won the WSOP Event 20 – the Omaha Hi-Low Split-8 or Better, bowing out in 3rd place.

Brunson takes home $107,349 for his efforts.  The son of poker legend Doyle Brunson, Todd has one World Series of Poker bracelet under his belt to date.

1014 people entered the event, which at press time was still in the process of determining the next bracelet winner.  Calen McNeil and Can Kim Hua were both locked up in a head-to-head battle.

In other WSOP news, Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant delivered a special video message in honor of the late Lakers owner Jerry Busse, a fixture on the World Series of Poker scene for many years.

Kobe had been invited to take Busse’s seat at the same Seven Card Stud event he final tabled 22 years ago but politely declined, citing doctor's orders not to play in the event.
