John McCain’s Long Lost Brazilian Love Lost it All Playing Poker
A report filed by the Earth Times claims that the 77-year-old Brazilian former model who was the young love of US Republican presidential candidate John McCain has been found by a newspaper in the South American country.
In an interview with the newspaper Extra, Garcinda described the young McCain as "cuddly, affectionate and romantic" and noted he called her "my coco bonbon."
In fact, that is what he calls Sarah Palin. Just kidding!
The pair spent McCain's last night in Brazil together and she drove him back to his ship, McCain wrote in his book. He would later fly to Rio several times to see her, but the relationship did not last long.
The woman, known to her neighbours as Cherie, describes herself not only as a former model, "but also a dancer, miss and lover of very important men." Like John McCain!
She said she has since lost all her money playing poker.
If McCain wins November 4 elections against Democrat Barack Obama, Garcinda said she will send him a congratulatory telegram, signed from his "your great love from Brazil."
McCain, the son of a wealthy admiral, was 20. In his autobiography, Faith Of My Fathers, he recalls: ‘I met and began a romance . . . and gloried in the envy of my friends.
‘We danced on the terrace overlooking the bay until 1am, when I felt her cheek was moist. "What's the matter?" I asked. "I'll never see you again,'' she replied.
‘I told her that we would remain in town for eight more days, and that I would gladly spend as much time in her company as she would grant me.
‘The next afternoon, I left the ship at about 12.30 and waited for her at the place I had designated. She pulled up in a Mercedes with gull-wing doors. She honked the horn, and I jumped in, ecstatic.
‘I spent every free moment with her for the rest of my stay in Rio. She was very beautiful, stylish and gracious.
‘She took me to dinners and receptions where I toasted my extraordinary good fortune in the company of cabinet members, generals and admirals, wealthy aristocrats and, on one occasion, the president of Brazil.
‘We spent my last evening together. She drove me to my ship the next morning. I kissed her to a chorus of rowdy cheers from my shipmates.'
