College Basketball Betting: UCLA Bruins Red Hot

The UCLA Bruins (19-4) look for their 5th straight win and cover on Thursday night, but it won't be easy against their Pac-10 rivals, the Arizona State Sun Devils.

UCLA has parlayed their winning streak into the # 11 ranking in the AP and 6th in the ESPN coaches poll. It's a little surprising that the AP sportswriters have them ranked that much lower, and the Bruins will be looking to send a message.

A-Rod Likes She-Males? The Oddsmakers Love A-Rod

One of my fellow Cubanos, the great Perez Hilton, brought up a little ditty that was out there two years back when A-Rod (Alex Rodriguez) was caught frolicking around in strip clubs.

Perez reported the following: "(A-Rod) likes the she-male, muscular type" says a stripper at a club once frequented by Rodriguez. "They brought me up to the champagne room one time. I spun around once and that was it. I'm not his type."

So does this mean that Yours Truly might be able to score a home run with A-Rod?

College Basketball Betting: Panthers vs. Mountaineers

A Big East battle kicks off a great ESPN doubleheader tonight when the Pittsburgh Panthers host the West Virginia Mountaineers.

Pittsburgh (21-2, 11-6 ATS) easily handled West Virginia 79-67 as a ‘pickem' in part one of this year's Backyard Brawl and they are solid eight-point favorites at Sportsbook.com to finish the Mountaineers off again at home.

Michael Phelps Might Need to Become a Poker Pro… Fast!

Olympic gold medalist swimmer, Michael Phelps, was dropped by one sponsor this past week following the fallout of his "marijuana" usage at a party this past fall.

Kellogg Co became the first major consumer firm to terminate an endorsement relationship with Michael Phelps. The world's largest cereal maker said on Thursday it would not extend a contract with Phelps, who won 8 gold medals at the Beijing Olympics last summer.  The company said the Phelps "bong incident" was inconsistent with its public image.
