Most of the public money has been flowing in on Revolutionary and Goldencents.  Revolutionary had the best payout odds at BetOnline (10/1).

Steve Haskins of Bloodhorse.com already had Revolutionary pegged as his top choice when it came to his 2013 Kentucky Derby predictions.

Gave him the work of the day on April 27 when 10 Derby horses worked. Just love the way this colt finishes and gallops out. (Calvin) Borel kept him right on the rail as usual, and although he again switched leads three times in the final furlong, he still flew home in :11 3/5 and galloped out some seven lengths ahead of Charming Kitten.

Borel is widely seen as a fearless jockey who will be able to overcome most obstacles including a sloppy track.

Goldencents should be among every sharp handicappers top three choices when they make their predictions.

The Lexington Herald has suggested that Goldencents bears a striking resemblance to last year’s Kentucky Derby winner I’ll Have Another.

He has invoked his predecessor with his own rail of accomplishments, the most recent his 11/4-length triumph in the Grade I Santa Anita Derby.

Both Orb and Verrazano stand a good shot of winning as the current co-favorites.  Orb was down to -3.5 at BetOnline while Verrazano had odds of -4.  There is value for both contenders.
