While the majority of online racebooks have held Bodemeister Kentucky Derby odds at 4/1, BetDSI.com continued to offer some of the best value with a half point difference of +450.  The winning difference is a payout of $5 additional on every $10 bet compared to other books.  For example, bet $10 on Bodemeister at BetDSI.com and win $45 compared to $40 elsewhere.

Bodemeister, the co-favorite with Union Rags, was looking good coming into Saturday’s Derby.  With the potential for rain, Bodemeister’s odds could be slashed further as a proven mud horse.

Hall of Fame jockey, Mike Smith, will be riding the Bob Balfert-trained horse.

“Bodemeister looks absolutely wonderful,” Smith said in a column he penned for the New York Post.  “He’s training well. I’ve been watching his works, and they’re about as good as can be, if not better.
“To me, the ‘wow’ factor of his Arkansas Derby was that his final time was a full second faster than the older stakes horses ran 30 minutes earlier in the Oaklawn Handicap.”

Gambling911.com anticipates Bodemeister’s odds to be cut at least to 3/1 by post time should rain affect the track.
