Chitu Odds to Win Kentucky Derby: Has Speed but Plenty of Baggage Too
Chitu odds to win the 2014 Kentucky Derby were set at 20-1. These odds were courtesy of BetDSI.com, which was offering 7% weekly rebates on losses and up to $2500 in FREE BETS for qualified new customers.
Chitu is best known for his speed. At the Sundand Derby, this Bob Baffert-trained entry earned a commendable 103 Speed rating for the 2 1/4-length decision. That’s mighty impressive.
There is a tremendous downside to Chitu. That is he’s only run four races and only Animal Kingdom has won the Kentucky Derby with only four previous starts.
Also of concern is Chitu’s foot issues. He’s been re-shod with a conventional shoe.
Let’s see: Inexperience, a foot ailment, and, as Baffert put it, “not bred to go that far”. Ouch!!!
Probably not the horse we at Gambling911.com will be backing.
