Pioneer of the Nile's odds to win the 2009 Kentucky Derby were now at +400 at SBG Global. The same odds as Dunkirt and just +100 off from the favorite, I Want Revenge.
"I don't know if we've ever had a Kentucky Derby where the odds were so close and there were no clear cut favorites to win," says Payton O'Brien of Gambling911.com.
Another contender, Friesan Fire, had odds of +500 while a few other horses were believed to have "upset" potential.
As for Pioneer of the Nile, his odds of winning the 2009 Kentucky Derby are about as good as any other contender in the race.

The main worry is that the Pioneer got rank and pulled hard on the backstretch in his last two races. If he relaxes, he could win; if he doesn't, he'll beat himself."
