Preakness Stakes 2012 Top Three Finishers Betting Odds – The Trifecta

Anybody you ask will likely say that Bodemeister and I’ll Have Another are going to end up among the top three finishers at the 2012 Preakness Stakes.  Their odds were each at 1/2 at Sportsbook.  You only have to make one selection to finish among the top three (as opposed to picking all three horses you think will make the trifecta).

Bodemeister and I’ll Have Another both have value we believe and should be easy money.  One would have to wager $2 to win $1 or $20 to win $10 or $200 to win $100.  The bet amount is refunded should the selection finish among the top three.

Either Creative Cause or Went The Day Well would seem like good choices for slightly better payout potential but neither has good value.  Creative Cause would only pay $2 for every $1 bet while Went The Day Well pays 6/5.

We say stick with either Bodemeister or I’ll Have Another.
