Hi Folks, this is Carrie Stroup reporting for Gambling911.com with your Super Bowl 43 recap.  What a game, huh?  The Arizona Cardinals managed to take the lead in the final few minutes of this one.  The Steelers win 27-23 but the Cardinals cover, a good result for bookmakers who would have been clobbered on the moneyline with an Arizona outright win.  The total in this game went over.  And the 2009 Super Bowl MVP goes to Santonio Holmes paying $1500 for every $100 bet!  We told you...watch this big dogs.

With the 27-23 score, Pittsburgh paid $350 for every $100 bet on the winning margin proposition bet offered at Sportsbook.com

And how about that last second half time touch down finish?  That one pushed the total Over what our friends at Sportsbook.com were offering as a number - 23 ½.  Gambling911.com had the first time Over in this one.

Now I'm not exactly sure if there were odds offered on this 100-yard interception return by Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison, but there probably were and the payout has to be pretty significant.   Harrison would have paid $3000 for every $100 bet if chosen as Super Bowl MVP.

The Cardinals appeared to be heading for a score when Harrison intercepted a Kurt Warner pass at the goal line. Harrison then sprinted 100 yards, eluding several tacklers along the way, as time expired at the end of the half.  By far the most exciting play of the game in the first half.  That was the longest scoring play in Super Bowl history folks!

The Pittsburgh Steelers showed their strength in the first quarter, dominating the score and time of possession, but the Arizona Cardinals battled back in the second quarter. Until the final seconds, it seemed that the Cards were going to tie the game. But with only seconds left in the half, Defensive Player of the Year Harrison snagged a five-yard pass and took it 101 yards for a score.

By the time the first half had ended, Ben Roethlisberger completed 11 of 14 passes in the first half. Gary Russell scored the Steelers other touchdown on a 1-yard run early in the second quarter.

Cardinals QB Kurt Warner completed 12 of 18 passes with one TD pass to Ben Patrick. He also threw the interception that Harrison returned for a score at the end of the half.

We have our first safety since Tampa won the Super Bowl and this prop bet paid $800 for every $100 bet.

The Cardinals came back in the final minutes, taking the lead by 3 and it appeared at that point that they would manage a cover.  An outright win would hurt the books since 80 percent of the money line action was on Arizona.  The Steelers were looking to take it into overtime with a field goal kick.  Santonio Holmes managed to get to the 5 yard line with 49 seconds left.  Pittsburgh scored a touchdown by Santonio Holmes with just over 30 seconds left.   What a game!

The Steelers are the first franchise to win 6 Super Bowls.  Congrats Pittsburgh Steelers and congrats to Arizona gamblers who had the Cardinals at +6 1/2 to +7 odds.
