The best post positions based on historical data are really anything 2-5, 7-10 and 16.

Bet the Kentucky Derby BetDSI.com, which was offering 7% weekly rebates on losses and up to $2500 in FREE BETS for qualified new customers.

Position 10 has delivered a high of 9 winners since 1930.  Vinceremos now has the honor of starting from that post position since all entries from posts 1-10 moved down a slot with two horses scratched.

Post positions 5 and 8 have delivered eight winners apiece. Danza and We Miss Artie will be starting from those two post positions.  Danza has a legitimate shot at winning whereas We Miss Marty at 40-1 long odds will likely have trouble racing on dirt based on previous performances.

Post positions 17-20 have produced the least number of winners but two winners have come out of those spots in the past six years.

None have come from the 17 spot since 1930.  Perhaps we are due for a winner here.  Commanding Curve will start from that position.
