Unibet Website Keeps Going Down During the NBA Playoffs, WTF?

Our own Thomas Somach reports that the Unibet website in PA went down once again overnight Friday and was back up by Saturday morning, then apparently back down again.  It is the third time the site has been down for an extended period of time this month.  Mr. Somach did reach out to Unibet officials on Saturday and they did admit to ongoing issues without disclosing the cause.

Earlier in the week, Mr. Somach advised of the outage but was told by Unibet there was no issue with the website.

A subsequent call later that evening Somach was informed that nobody had called notifying the company of any issues, this despite Somach having called earlier in the day.

Unibet had been down in Pennsylvania for nearly two days earlier in the month but did not offer an explanation as to why.  At least they admitted it was down.

The company is set to launch a proprietary software in neighboring New Jersey next month (May).  Its parent company, Kindred, gained final approval from New Jersey regulators this past week.

“Introducing the Kindred platform to our customers in New Jersey will provide the entertainment and experience enjoyed by our customers in Europe,” said CEO Henrik Tjärnström. “We are now finally able to show off our true Unibet product.”

Unibet has operated in the Garden State since 2019.

It plans to offer the proprietary software in Pennsylvania in the coming months.  It is possible the down time is a result of testing, however, the company is yet to comment.  NBA and NHL playoffs betting has been impacted as a result.

Don't take our word for it.  These were a few of the tweets just prior to Game 3 of the Sixers-Nets game tipping off Saturday:
