Right wing commentator and sports handicapper Wayne Root was mentioned during Jimmy Kimmel's monologue Monday night.
Kimmel claimed during the monologue that Root "embarrassed himself by defending (Donald) Trump honoring Julius Caesar".
The reference was to the former U.S. President having dinner with a white supremacist along with recording artist Kanye West two weeks ago.
Root's opt-ed is entitled "The Greatest Gaslight in History - This Jewish American's Take on President Trump and Kanye West and Nick Fuetes", whereby the commentator quickly shifts to attacking another former U.S. President, Barack Obama.
Our own Thomas Somach reached out to Wayne, who said he was not aware of the segment.
It's doubtful Wayne watches Kimmel's show as the comedian is clearly anti-Trump and Root is a devout supporter of the former President.

BettingUSA.com Founder Talks Current USA Legal Betting Landscape
Mike Murphy of BettingUSA.com recently sat down with John Wright of StatsDrone to discuss his foray into the legal USA betting market, which he notes has long included daily fantasy sports.
"I believe we can lay claim to being the first “50 state guide” to legal online betting in the United States," he says.
Looking into his crystal ball, Murphy does not see a wave of states legalizing online casinos in 2023.
"The explosive wave of legal casino states that European operators are hoping for seems very unlikely at this point. My best educated guess tells me that the states most likely to expand into online casino gambling include New York, Indiana, and Illinois. That would be a sizable expansion if it happens, but the process will be slow."
Murphy has also expressed to us his disgust over other gaming affiliates abuse of news aggregating websites like Google News, inundating the feeds with promo codes. This is just one of the many transgressions likely to get the industry in some hot water.
"I think we’re going to see increasing amounts of scrutiny creep into the legal sports betting industry, and possibly a major scandal or two. Watchdogs, anti-gambling crusaders, and even state legislators are starting to pay more attention to the negative effects wider access to online gambling brings."
In just the past few weeks we've witnessed sports betting firms unleash a torrent of highly offensive and disgusting social media posts, viral stunts and there's even been a major hacking of customer accounts at DraftKings with that company's response, or lack thereof, still drawing criticism.
