Buffalo Wild Wings Taps Former Pro Punter and Avid Gambler as Spokesperson

Following up with the latest on Buffalo Wild Wings’ gamble, pledging free wings to America if the game goes to OT: B-Dubs has now tapped former pro punter (turned avid gambler and internet sensation) Pat McAfee to be its “Gaming Consultant” for the program.

In this role, Pat will appear in a series of digital content across Pat’s and Buffalo Wild Wings’ social channels related to the “free wings” offer.

Now that he’s retired from professional football, former All-Pro punter Pat McAfee fills his free time as a media personality, podcaster, gambler and now, as the Buffalo Wild Wings “Gaming Consultant.”

On Sunday, when the biggest sports gambling event of the year takes place, he’s only concerned about one bet — if the game goes into overtime.

Because if Los Angeles and New England end regulation tied, Pat and the rest of America will be treated to free snack-sized wings from Buffalo Wild Wings on February 18, 2019, from 4-7 p.m. local time.

Pat even has his order ready to go, should America’s largest sports bar have to pay out on its massive bet — crispy, all drum medium wings.

“After hanging up the cleats, I’m just like any other football fan – I enjoy a full Sunday of games with some good food and drinks and making a few friendly wagers… which I couldn’t while I was playing.

"But since my former team got knocked out of the playoffs, I don’t have a team to pull for on Sunday. My rooting interests in this game are of course #ForTheBrand of special teamers out there, but just like everyone else, now I’m just pulling for the game to go to overtime.”

Pat played eight seasons as a pro before retiring in 2017. Since then, he’s taken the sports world by storm, hosting the Pat McAfee Show podcast, providing commentary in multiple pro football and pro wrestling broadcasts and developing his viral #ForTheBrand social media content and merchandise.
