Texas has been well represented in the LLSW over the years.

Lufkin, Texas played in 2017 but lost to Taiwan. Bellaire, Texas lost to Venezuela in 2000.  Spring, Texas lost to Taiwan in 1995.  We have to go all the way back to 1966 when Houston, Texas beat West New York, New Jersey to win the Little League World Series.

This year the Lone Star State will have an other shot as Needville was among the first teams in the US to advance to the LLWS.

Needville went 4-0 at the Southwest Region tournament in Waco to advance.

Needville beat Media, PA 2-1 on Wednesday.

The Little League World Series will be played Aug. 16-27 in Williamsport, PA.

“Thanks to all the fans that came out to support our boys as they punched their ticket to the LL World Series,” the league said on their official Facebook page. “Thanks to all that watched on TV and sent all the heartfelt congratulations. No doubt these boys are talented but having all the support pushed them over the top!”
