Packers vs. Cardinals Line: Wild Card Weekend

The Packers vs. Cardinals line for Wild Card Weekend opened at Cardinals -2, a whole point less than the line posted for Week 17 of the NFL.  This is a repeat of that game.  The line was available overnight already Sunday at Bookmaker.com.

The Arizona Cardinals and Green Bay Packers knew well before kickoff that they would be playing each other again on the same field in a few days.

Aaron Rodgers, playing mostly against the Arizona reserves, shredded the Cardinals in a 33-7 Packers rout on Sunday.  But Arizona Head Coach Ken Whisenhunt took a cautious approach in terms of a game plan, not showing much of what he would use next week, while Green Bay coach Mike McCarthy chose to play the Packers' usual high-powered game.

It was the most one-sided home loss for Arizona in coach Whisenhunt's three seasons with the Cardinals but was not likely to provide an indicator of what the Wild Card Weekend NFC game would provide. Arizona (10-6) sat quarterback Kurt Warner after one quarter.

The Cardinals are known as a "Jeckyl and Hyde" team that can easily come back to avenge this loss last week and they won't have to worry about playing in icy Green Bay either as this one will again take place in Arizona.

Green Bay has beaten Arizona 4 of their last 5 meetings this past decade.
