NFL

Baltimore Ravens vs. Tennessee Titans (9:30 am London) - 67% to 77% of the spread action was on Baltimore in this one.  The line has moved from Baltimore -5 to -3.5 and back up to -5.5.  $250K was bet so far on this game as of 5:30 pm ET Saturday.

Seattle Seahawks @ Cincinnati Bengals  (1 pm) - Two of the top cappers at the G911 Sports Hub were backing the Bengals this day, and so too is the betting public.  The line on this game is switching between the -2.5 and -3 favoring Cincinnati at Bovada.  76% of the spread action was on the home favorite Cincinnati with over $260K compared to just under $100K on Seattle. Sagarin has a number of Bengals 1.69, with the implication being there is a slight 1 point overlay here.

San Francisco 49ers @ Cleveland Browns (1 pm) - Deshaun Watson could miss multiple more games for the Browns with strain-like deep contusion in rotator cuff.  This would otherwise have been a more intriguing matchup.  San Francisco looks to stay undefeated as the -9.5 favorite.  This one opened at 49ers -5.  Watson looks to be worth five points on the line.  The line may have been an overlay from the start as Sagarin gives us a number of 4.3 and does not take into account the Watson injury.

Philadelphia Eagles @ New York Jets (4 pm) - As of Sunday morning, action was around 76% on the Philadelphia spread with around a half million bet among the consensus sportsbooks compared to just $150K on the Jets.  The line movement has been from Eagles -6 to -7 but some books were enticing gamblers to bet on Philadelphia by dropping the number to 6.5 Saturday and keeping it there (BetOnline, Bookmaker, Circa and Bovada).

New York Giants @ Buffalo Bills (8 pm) - One of the biggest NFL lines of the year as Buffalo comes into this one against the Giants as a -15.5 favorite.

Logan Paul vs. Dillon Danis (2 pm ET) - Paul comes into this fight as a -500 favorite, Danis a +350 dog.

Tyson Fury vs. Francis Ngannou (2 pm ET) - Fury is a huge -1000 favorite, Ngannou would pay out $600 for every $100 bet with an upset.

College Football

Ohio State Buckeyes vs Purdue Boilermakers (12 pm) - Ohio State opened at -20 with the line having moved down to -17.5 overnight Friday.  55% of the action was on Ohio State. 

Michigan vs. Rutgers (12 pm) - The line on this game was Rutgers -4.5 and -5 and getting around 55% of the action.  The line on this one dropped all the way down to -3.5 the final hour before game time despite 75% of tickets on Rutgers (55% of action, down from better than 60% overnight) 

Syracuse vs. FSU (12 pm ) - Florida State hopes to stay undefeated against an Orange team that is 4-2 Straight Up thus far.  Both teams are 3-2 Against The Spread.  FSU has won the last three in this series, two by more than the opening spread of 17.5 though that number moved to 18.5 and one of those three losses was by 18 points. 

Oregon Ducks vs. Washington Huskies (3:30 pm) - This game was seeing some of the better volume as one might expect.  BetOnline had the Ducks seeing the most action of any other college football team as of Friday but most books were reporting somewhat balanced action.  The line had been shifting between Washington 3 and 3.5. Sagarin has this one a PICK'EM, indicating we have a 3 point overlay.  Favorites hitting the 3.5 and not going below the 3 when there is an overlay tend to perform poorly.  Oregon has won three of the last four in this series.  They lost in their most recent meeting but by just 3 points.

Texas A&M Aggies vs. Tennessee Vols (3:30 pm) - Action was balanced moving between the -3 and -3.5 with Tennessee favored.   The line is on the money (3.12) according to Sagarin. 

Iowa Hawkeyes vs. Wisconsin Badgers (4:00 pm) - 61% of the spread action was on Wisconsin as a -9.5 favorite against the Hawkeyes.  The money amount was approaching $100,000 for the Badgers.  BetOnline was as high as -10 and dropping to -8.5 for about an hour Saturday morning.  Bookmaker was back up to -9.5.  Bovada was sitting on the -9.  Americas Bookie had the number at 9, which is still attractive for Hawkeyes backers.

Dallas Cowboys @ LA Chargers (8 pm) - This Cowboys-Chargers game will most certainly have decent action Monday night.  Both sides were seeing balanced action for the most part on the spread as of Sunday night. Books were moving the line between Chargers -1.5 and -2.5.  Sagarin gives us a number of Dallas -1.5, suggesting this line is pretty accurate. 

MLB

Arizona Diamondbacks @ Philadelphia Phillies (8 pm) - Philadelphia came in around a firm -164 with Phillies career statistics vs. Zac Gallen scoring 4 RBIs and 2 home runs in 69 at bats (.232).  He was terrific in Monday night’s victory over the Dodgers in Game 2 of the NLDS, allowing just two runs on five hits across his 5 1/3 frames. Zack Wheeler has surrendered 12 RBIs and 5 homers in 90 at bats against the Diamondbacks.  He delivered a strong performance in a no-decision against the Braves in Game 2 of the NLDS on Monday night, allowing three runs (two earned) on three hits across 6 1/3 innings of work.

NFL

Jacksonville Jaguars @ New Orleans Saints (8 pm) - Jacksonville Jaguars vs. New Orleans Saints: Action was balanced on the spread coming into this Thursday Night Football game, however, the UNDER was seeing 60% with a total that has moved from 38.5 to 40.5 in recent days. So basically opposite of where it should be moving.  We've seen the number as high as 43 at Bookmaker.  The OVER is quite enticing here.  And in the end, you had to love this one.  Heading into the 4th quarter we were UNDER a half point but just knew there would have to be some more scoring, and there was.  This one got tied up and we hit the OVER before our Amazon Prime account stopped working.

College Football

SMU Mustangs @ Temple Owls (7 pm ) - The amount of action on this game was limited as of Friday morning but SMU did see around 60% of the public love on the spread of -23.5.  We've seen that number move all the way up from -18 at Bovada. SMU is 4-2 Straight Up and 3-3 Against The Spread.  Temple has one win this season and one cover. 

MLB

Houston Astros @ Texas Rangers (5 pm) - The Rangers have faced Justin Verlander 158 times and only have four home runs to show for it. Verlander pitched well in a losing effort against the Rangers in Game 1 of the ALCS on Sunday night, allowing just two runs on six hits over 6 2/3 innings of work.  Early action here was 75% on the UNDER yet the total was trending up from 8.5 to 9.  Only two of the last ten in this overall series has stayed UNDER 9. Rangers starter Jordan Montgomery has given up two homers and five RBIs in Astros 104 at bats.  Montgomery delivered an outstanding performance in a victory over the Astros in Game 1 of the ALCS on Sunday night, scattering five hits over 6 1/3 innings of scoreless baseball. We want to caution that most books were still hanging onto the 8.5 as of mid-morning Friday.

Philadelphia Phillies @ Arizona Diamondbacks (8 pm) - Christopher Sanchez will start for Philadelphia and Joe Mantiply for Arizona with a line moving from -115 to -124 Philly.

College Football

Penn State Nittany Lions @ Ohio State Buckeyes (12 pm): In what may be the game of the season to date, a pair of 6-0 Big Ten teams collide in Columbus Saturday afternoon. It’s the Penn St. Nittany Lions visiting the Ohio St. Buckeyes, with both teams coming in 3-0 in conference.  Ohio State opened as the -5.5 favorite with the line quickly dropping down to -4.  Sagarin gives us a number of 4.54, suggesting the line is relatively accurate if not for a slight overlay at the opening.

Charlotte 49ers @ East Carolina Pirates (2 pm): Not the greatest game on Saturday's slate but this one is attracting some attention with the UNDER play.  The total is set at 40.

Minnesota Golden Gophers @ Iowa Hawkeyes (3:30 pm):  This one opened Iowa -6 and had dipped to -3.5 overnight Friday.  67% of the spread action was on the Hawkeyes.  Iowa has won the last eight meetings. Sagarin gives us a number of Iowa 11.16, which suggests an underlay of 7.5. 

Utah @ USC (8 pm): Both teams come into this with one loss.  Utah is 3-2-1 Against The Spread while USC had an ATS record of 2-5.  Utah has won the last three games in this series.  USC though is 9-2 against Utah in Los Angeles.  The Utes picked up their first road win since 1916 and first victory at the Coliseum with a 42-26 triumph in 2021. Sagarin gives us a number of 3.54, indicating a possible overlay of 3.5 here.

UFC

UFC 294 (2 pm): We have an incredible card for UFC 294 Saturday afternoon, and bettors are eagerly backing their fighters.  Check out where the action is flowing and the top liabilities for the books here

Philadelphia Phillies @ Arizona Diamondbacks (8:05 pm): Zach Wheeler starts for Philly and Zach Gallen for the Diamondbacks.  Philadelphia is a steady -130 favorite in this one with better than 92% of the backing.  GULP!

Atlanta Falcons @ Tampa Bay Bucs (1 pm):  Action was pretty balanced in this one both on the spread and total.  Tampa had moved to a -2.5 favorite, up from -1.5.  Sagarin gives us a line of 1.36.

Detroit Lions @ Baltimore Ravens (1 pm)

Cleveland Browns @ Indianapolis Colts (1 pm)

LA Chargers @ Kansas City Chiefs (4 pm)

Miami Dolphins @ Philadelphia Eagles (8:20 pm):  They saved the best for last. Philadelphia comes into this one as the -3 point home favorite against a hot Dolphins team.  Both are 5-1 Straight Up but Miami is 5-1 Against The Spread, Philadelphia is 3-2-1 ATS.  Sagarin gives us a number of 1.94.  There is about a 1 point overlay but the -2.5 puts this one pretty much within the accuracy range and that has tended to favor the favorite in the 2/2.5 to 3 range without going over the 3. 75% of the spread action is on Philadelphia and it's doubtful this one is going to cross over the 3.

San Francisco 49ers @ Minnesota Vikings (8:15 pm ): The 2-4 Vikings are a +6.5 home dog against a San Francisco team that suffered their first loss of the season to Cleveland.  Dating back to 2020, San Francisco won twice against Minnesota, both by more than the current spread.  This one is moving between -6.5 and -7 favoring San Francisco.  Much of the weekend this one was at -6.5 at BetOnline.  83% of the action was on the Vikings overnight Sunday.  Minnesota was really looking like an attractive play here especially if this one continues to move back to -6.5.  Americas Bookie had the number at 7 overnight as did Bovada. Sagarin has a number of 6.82, placing this one right on the money.

Arizona Diamondbacks @ Philadelphia Philles (8:05 pm): Arizona extends this series to 7 games following a big win Monday night.  They place Brandon Pfaadt on the mound and Philadelphia counters with Ranger Suarez.  The Phillies are a -155 favorite in this one. The total opened at 8.5 and had dropped down to 8 most books by Tuesday morning with 62% of the action on the UNDER.

Jacksonville State @ Florida International (7 pm): Jacksonville State is a -7.5 favorite in this one and seeing early 75% of the action.  The number had been at -8. JSU is 6-2 Straight Up and 5-2-1 Against The Spread.  FIU is 4-4 SU and ATS.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Buffalo Bills (8 pm): The Bills opened the week as a -7.5 favorite in this one despite their lackluster performance Sunday resulting in a loss to New England. 94% of the early action was on the Bills with the line moving up to -8.5.

College Football

Syracuse Orange @ Virginia Tech (7:30 pm): This one could get hot.  The line opened at Virginia Tech -3 at some books.  Bookmaker had this one at -2.5 for a number of hours on Tuesday.  Circa had the 2.5 for just a few minutes. Syracuse is 4-3 Straight Up and 3-3 Against The Spread while Virginia Tech is 3-4 SU and 4-3 ATS.  Sagarin is giving us a number of 0.74, indicating a 2-point overlay.  The 2.5/3 with an overlay bodes quite well for the underdog.  Action is lopsided 88% to 90% on Syracuse and it would make more sense for the books to move the number back to 2.5 as the day progresses on Thursday.   It appears oddsmakers believe this one could fall on the 3 based on how quickly some immediately moved back to the 3 off the 2.5.

Arizona Diamondbacks @ Texas Rangers World Series Game 1 (8:03 pm) - Arizona is set to start Zac Gallen.  He has struggled his last few starts.  In Saturday night’s loss to the Phillies in Game 5 of the NLCS, Gallen up four runs on six hits over his six innings of work. Prior to that, in Game 1 against Philadelphia, he surrendered five runs on eight hits over his five innings of work.

Texas Rangers career statistics vs. Zac Gallen: They have 6 RBIs and 2 home runs in 86 at bats.  It's interesting to note that Garcia is 0-for-5 against Gallen.

Nathan Eovaldi is 4-0 in the post season for Texas.  Only three Arizona batters have gone up against him and Lourdes Gurriel Jr. has been dangerous, going 7 for 18 against Eovaldi with 7 RBIs and two home runs.  Gurriel Jr. has 24 home runs this season.

The Rangers were seeing 90% of the early action as a -165 favorite though that percentage has dropped down to 65%. The total opened at 8.5 and dropped to 8.

UMass Minutemen @ Army Knights (12 pm) - UMass vs. Army featured a line of Black Knights -9.5 with action creeping up to 63% where it had previously been balanced.  Read More

Oregon Ducks @ Utah Utes (3:30 pm) - The Oregon Ducks vs. Utah Utes promises to be one of the most anticipated college football games of the week.  These power teams come into this one with one loss apiece.  Read More

USC Trojans @ California Bears (4 pm) - USC Trojans @ California Bears: The line has trended down a half point depending on the book from 11 to 10.5 or 10.5 to 10. With action 70% on USC (80% at Pay Per Head AcePerHead).  The 11 has only held briefly.  BetOnline was 10.5 to 11 the better part of Tuesday through Thursday and was down to 10 Saturday morning. Circa was on the 11 about 45 minutes Friday before holding at 10. Pinnacle was also on 10. Bovada was as well. It's interesting that Sagarin gives us a number of 10.07.  Both teams only have two covers this season thus far.  The last two seasons, California had a win against USC and a cover within the current 10-point spread.  We have California with a 57% chance of covering here.  California did end up covering with a USC 1-point win.

Arizona Diamondbacks @ Texas Rangers World Series Game 2 (8:03 pm) - Arizona Diamondbacks @ Texas Rangers:  Action on the sides was fairly balanced early on but not so for the total.  We see lopsided action on the OVER at around 75%.  That number climbed from 8.5 to 9 at BetOnline, Bookmaker, Circa, DraftKings, Bovada and pretty much everywhere else.  Merrill Kelly starts for Arizona.  He's 2-1 in the post season with an ERA of 3.29.  In 30 appearances against him, the Rangers have had just four hits and two RBIs (.133).  Kelly is more than capable of pitching into the 7th inning.  Kelly came through in a big way for the Diamondbacks on Monday afternoon, firing five innings of one-run baseball in a victory over the Phillies in Game 6 of the NLCS.   Rangers Jordan Montgomery is 3-0 in the post season and perhaps due for a bad outing.  Diamondbacks hitters have gone up against Montgomery 59 times, resulting in 18 hits and 5 RBIs. Gabriel Moreno is 4-for-7 against him. Montgomery earned a victory out of the Rangers’ bullpen in Game 7 of the ALCS on Monday night, hurling 2 1/3 innings of shutout baseball against the Astros. Jordan Montgomery pitched decently in a no-decision against the Astros in Game 5 of the ALCS before that, allowing just two runs in 5 1/3 innings. The line has gone from -165 to -145 at Bovada, now back up to -150.  The Rangers were seeing 55% of the action at that number compared to under 50% prior.  BetOnline had the number at -160 and dropped to -140, where it sat at 12:09 pm.  Circa went from -151 to -140.  The Diamondbacks should have won Game 1.  They were 3-1 during the regular season against Texas.

Houston Texans @ Carolina Panthers (1 pm) - Forget that the Carolina Panthers haven't won a game yet this season.  They have yet to cover the spread either.  That's pretty difficult to do as we enter the Week 8 game against the Houston Texans.  Read More Here

New England Patriots @ Miami Dolphins (1 pm) - New England Patriots @ Miami Dolphins: This one had climbed all the way up to 10 at some books and had fallen to Dolphins -8.5 overnight Saturday. BetOnline, Bovada, Circa had all come down to -8.5.  Bookmaker dropped to -9.  Pinnacle was still at -9.5.  Action was 80 percent Dolphins according to AcePerHead internal data (only available to Gambling911 readers).  There is a lean for New England but the Dolphins are 5-1 against them in their last six head-to-heads.  The last two have been within the current spread.  Three of the four prior meetings had Miami winning by more than 8.5 points.  Sagarin gives us a number of 7.72.  It's interesting that hardly any of the books have dipped below the 8.5. 

Jacksonville Jaguars @ Pittsburgh Steelers (1 pm) - The Steelers will host the Jaguars with a record of 4-2.  Jacksonville comes into this one 5-2.  Both teams record Against The Spread are identical to their records Straight Up.

Cleveland Browns @ Seattle Seahawks (4 pm) - Two surprise teams face off and try to defend their identical 4-2 records Straight Up. Both are pretty much at the .500 mark Against The Spread (Seattle is 3-2-1 ATS).  Sagarin has Cleveland 0.42, an indication that the wrong team is favored and there is a 4 point overlay.  The dog has performed especially well in the 3/3.5/4 range without going under the 3 when there is an overlay.

Cincinnati Bengals @ San Francisco 49ers (4 pm) - The 49ers are stumbling a bit as the Bengals have now won three of their last four following a sluggish start.

Chicago Bears @ LA Chargers (8:20 pm) - The disappointing Chicago Bears (2-5) travel to the former Hollywood Park to meet the equally-disappointing Los Angeles Chargers (2-4) Sunday evening. Both teams need to figure things out fast or begin looking ahead to the next draft.  Read More

NFL

Las Vegas Raiders @ Detroit Lions (8 pm): It's possible the sportsbooks will be wrong here but the opinion is obvious that they believe Las Vegas covers.  We're seeing nearly 90% of the action on the Detroit spread yet the line has come down off the 9 to 7.5 across the board.  DraftKings dropped the number to 7.  Pinnacle was at 7.5 as was Circa, coming off the 8.5.  Circa was down to -7 as of 4:31 pm with 83 percent of the action on Detroit.  Pinnacle too. We're giving the Raiders a 63% chance of covering here.

MLB

Texas Rangers @ Arizona Diamondbacks (8 pm): This one is not appealing at all.  Max Scherzer wasn’t at his best in a no-decision against the Astros in Game 7 of the ALCS his most recent start, giving up two runs on four hits in just 2 2/3 innings of work.   Before that he was tagged for five runs over four innings of Game 3 against the Astros.  We would anticipate a rebound here as Texas was coming in around -109 and Arizona -101. Diamondbacks career statistics vs. Max Scherzer are 16 hits in 103 at bats. They have 5 home runs and 10 RBIs against him.  That comes out to a sensational .155.  Brandon Pfaadt pitched well in a no-decision against the Phillies in Game 7 of the NLCS.  He had seven strikeouts over four innings of two-run baseball. Pfaadt recorded a career-high nine strikeouts over 5 2/3 shutout innings in Game 3.  He's faced the Rangers 19 times and allowed 9 hits including 4 home runs.  Rangers are appealing here.

College Football

Northern Illinois @ Central Michigan (7 pm) - Northern Illinois comes into this game as a -5.5 favorite.  The number has come up from -3.5.  Sagarin had a number of Huskies 4.78 for this one and they were seeing better than 80% of the action.  Central Michigan is 3-1 in this series over the last four years and covered the current spread in the one loss. Both these teams are 4-4 Straight Up but Central Michigan has only covered the spread in two games so far this season.  Northern Illinois is 4-4 Against The Spread.  

NBA

New York Knicks @ Cleveland Cavs (7:30 pm): The Knicks line had come down to -2.5 from -3.  Early action was 87% on New York.  Sagarin gives us a number of Cleveland 1.82.  New York is 7-1 in the last eight of this series.  Cleveland has only covered in one of those losses using the current spread. The Cavs injuries (there are four big players out) are not reflected in the Sagarin number.

Sports News

Odds on Crawford vs. Madrimov Fight

BetOnline released odds Tuesday on the newly announced Terence Crawford vs. Israil Madrimov fight, scheduled for August 2 in Los Angeles.  Crawford is likely to be a big favorite.
