Jimmy Fallon Canadiens Bet: ‘Tonight Show’ Host Backs Rangers

NBC’s “The Tonight Show” host Jimmy Fallon has made a jersey bet with the Montreal Canadiens.  The American Fallon is backing the New York Rangers to win the NHL Eastern Conference Final in 2014.  Fallon hosts his late night show out of the Rangers home town.

Montreal was destroyed by New York 7-2 in Game 1 of this series.

From the Canadiens website:

Fallon, the former star of Saturday Night Live and current host of NBC's The Tonight Show -- taped at the famed studios situated at 30 Rockefeller Plaza in New York -- confirmed he will wear a Canadiens jersey during one of his monologues in the event Montreal bests the Rangers in their series that starts Saturday afternoon. In turn, the Canadiens will change their @CanadiensMTL Twitter avatar to a photo of Fallon of his choosing for one day, plus outfit their famed mascot, Youppi!, in a Rangers jersey and post 10 different pictures of him walking around Montreal showing it off.

“The Tonight Show” moved back to New York in February when Fallon took over as host from Jay Leno.
