Olympic Men’s Hockey figures to be one of the most popular sports on which to bet once the Pyeongchang games start.

Olympic Men’s Hockey Rosters

Online bookie agents should keep reading to get a low down of the teams competing for gold in this year’s 2018 Olympic Winter Games.

Olympic Athletes of Russia        +200

Technically, they’re not playing for Russia. They’re playing for themselves. Big whoop. Does anyone really believe that Mr. Putin doesn’t throw a ticker tape parade if the Russian athletes bring home gold in Men’s Hockey?

The Russians, sorry, Athletes of Russia, are the 2 to 1 favorites for a reason. Two former NHL players, Ilya Kovalchuk and Pavel Datsyuk, lead the team.

They alone could do a number on the other Winter Olympic hockey squads.

Canada +300

Canada’s got a few former ex-NHL players like Derek Roy, Maxim Lapierre, and Renee Bourque.

One knock against Canada is that there isn’t a player under the age of twenty-five on the roster. Winning any Olympic medal, it doesn’t have to be gold, is brutal.

With no youth, will the Canadians stand up to the other squads with a shot at gold?

Sweden +400

Serious hockey bettors are likely to jump all over the Swedes to get it done in Pyeongchang. Sure, there’s virtually no experience from the team that won Silver in 2014.

That might not bother hockey bettors because Sweden has a possibly seriously talented young soon to be NHL star in Rasmus Dhalin.

Dhalin is so good that there’s rumors he might be the first pick in this year’s NHL Draft. Surrounding Dhalin with a couple of former NHL players could make Sweden the bet.

Finland +800

Finland is full of KHL players. The KHL is the Kontinental Hockey League. Russia, err, the Olympic Athletes of Russia, sport plenty of KHL players just like Finland.

The difference is that Russia is at +200 while Finland is at +800. Most hockey bettors figure to side with Finland.

Czech Republic +800

I don’t know a whole lot about what players are on the Czech Republic’s team. They’ll have a shot because a lot of Czech’s start hitting the puck right out of the womb. The Czech’s could make a move at 8 to 1.

United States of America +900

USA should garner plenty of love from hometown bettors. There’s no reason why except the odds. USA’s fair odds, based on their roster, is closer to +1500, or so.

Their only real name player is former Stanley Cup champion Brian Gionta.

Pay per head agents should do their own handicapping. But, it might be a good idea to allow money on USA to just ride out. Perhaps, this is the time to not set max betting limits on USA to win gold.

Online Bookies Have to Promote The Olympics

Start promoting the 2018 Winter Olympics as the odds come through. The Olympics don’t always garner a lot of interest, which is why pay per head agents need to promote it.

Keep you players interested in betting after the Super Bowl is over, keep making cash by promoting your business.

Using PayPerHead’s premium tool, the TV Listing, will be very powerful for promotional purposes. Reminding bettors, via SMS or email, about an hour before events, will help encourage them to put money on the table.

Get PayPerHead’s premium tools by getting their Prime Package. Right now, it’s still on for just $10 per head. That’s the same price as their Professional Package.

So, upgrade your sportsbook software - and start making real profit.
