And the winners appeared to be:
Bernie Sanders, Marianne Williamson, Beto, Tim Ryan and Mayor Pete.
For some of these candidates, this isn't necessarily a good thing. For gamblers, it looked as if Bernie Sanders backers were in for a win.
A lot of the Bernie tweets pertained to the perceived tag team between he and Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren, who was not trending among the top 10 as of 10:30 pm ET.

Maryland Congressman John Delaney was also trending, but for all the wrong reasons.
Much of the tweets directed at Delaney claimed that Warren and Bernie "owned him".
Then there was this:
John Delaney's Wikipedia page was vandalized to say he had died at the #DemDebate at the hands of Elizabeth Warren. https://t.co/QWa4yT1gTn

Williamson offered some zingers in Tuesday night's debate but we had these tweets:
It rolled by fast in my TL but someone calling Marianne Williamson "The Lady Wizard" is killing me.
