Paddy Power Blocked From Twitter

It was revealed that one of the world’s largest and most controversial online bookmakers, Paddy Power, got into some hot water overnight with the world’s largest social media site, Twitter.

With more than 632,000 followers, the Dublin-based betting firm appears to have violated Twitter provisions.  No further details were provided Tuesday.  Its account was quickly reinstated Tuesday morning.

The message greeted by followers over a blank account read: "Twitter suspends accounts that violate the Twitter rules."

The company’s side accounts such as @askpaddypower remained active during the period that the main account was blocked.

Some have speculated that its latest #FanDenial video, tied to Chelsea’s first week defeat in the Premier League, may have been to blame.
