Bookies Fare Well On Sunday Following Thanksgiving Feast For Gamblers

As is typical for Thanksgiving Day, the public favorites came through with flying colors.  The New England Patriots and New York Jets both managed to cover their respective spreads.  The New Orleans Saints failed to cover at most books as a -3.5 favorite and winning by a field goal, thus allowing underdog Dallas to cover.

Sunday turned out much better for the books with the public having only one significant win backing Houston to beat Tennessee.

The two biggest public favorites were Pittsburgh and Philadelphia.  Our own Carrie Stroup was betting against these two teams for that very reason.  Neither of the two public favorites managed to come through.  The Steelers just narrowly avoided an overtime loss while Philadelphia fell outright to Chicago.

NFL favorites are now 74-93-6 on the season, a strong indication that the house is enjoying a fairly lucrative year so far.
