Clonie Gowen’s lawsuit claiming Full Tilt Poker owes money to her for promoting the firm could move forward after the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals determined that a U.S. District Judge erred by dismissing her case.

In April 15, Full Tilt Poker was among three online poker companies indicted and charged with money laundering and fraud.

The 9th Circuit further ruled that the district court erred in dismissing Gowen's fraud and negligent misrepresentation claims against co-defendants Raymond Bitar and Howard Lederer, a fellow poker pro. The Las Vegas Sun reports that Lederer was also one of Tiltware's founders.

Gowen has claimed that Full Tilt Poker promised her a 1 percent ownership stake in the company once it became profitable in exchange for use of her celebrity status to promote the firm and that they later reneged on that promise. The 9th Circuit's ruling means she can proceed on her breach of contract and misrepresentation claims.
