Nine online gambling domain names seized as part of a sting operation by the US Attorney’s Office in Maryland have been put up for sale or license.  These include DoylesRoom.com and Bookmaker.com.

The seizures occurred during what was commonly referred to back then as “Blue Monday’, taking a cue from a previously coined industry occurrence just weeks earlier, “Black Friday” where three of the world’s largest online poker domains had been seized by the US Justice Department on Friday, April 15.

Bookmaker.com was quick to switch over to the new industry standard .EU domain extension after a brief time using a .AG (Antigua).  Nearly all other companies in the sector have since followed their lead following a series of similar seizures.  DoylesRoom also converted to the .AG but was later acquired by Americas Cardroom after poker legend Doyle Brunson surrendered his name rights in that company.

It was not immediately clear as to who was selling the said domain names.

The domain names are all now registered to a “US Poker Marketing Affiliate, LLC” of Las Vegas.  The company claims to specialize in “legal and consulting services to clients interested in Internet Gaming law and operations, both US and foreign-based.

The website mentions one David Gzesh, who made an appearance earlier this year at a London online gambling affiiiate conference.

"With over 10 years experience, David Gzesh is a professional who understands both the business and legal issues of the industry," the site claims.

Leery operators have suggested to Gambling911.com that Gzesh is no more than a "ruse" for the US Attorney's Office, who were rumored to have had an operative present at the London affiilate show.  It is not known how Gzesh would have obtained these domains.

The seizures came with charges connected to the violation of existing gambling laws.
