DFS NBA Player Picks, Salaries and Betting Lines – March 23
Gambling911.com has your DFS NBA player picks, salaries and betting lines for March 23. Remember to watch for a relatively new phenomenon that seems to be catching on in the league – the sitting out of players in games that appear as if they will be likely blowouts. Blame Pop for this one!
Interestingly enough, a matchup we would normally shy away from – Houston vs. Indiana – is one we are all over today thanks to Rockets injuries translating into an uptick in minutes for other key players along with Houston’s inability to contain centers of late.
James Harden (Houston - SG) $11.2K - March 23 – Under normal circumstances we would probably shy away from taking Harden against the Pacers but, with Houston so banged up, Harden will need to pick up much of the slack. That means more minutes and more production from this trusted shooting guard.
Donatas Motiejunas (Houston - PF) March 23 – $5.6K Dwight Howard and Terrence Jones are both out for tonight’s game against the Pacers and, as noted above, certain players will have to fill in the void. Motiejunas should see extended action against the Pacers. He’ll need roughly 29 fantasy points to make value and he has scored at least 25 fantasy points in four straight games so this is certainly doable.
Roy Hibbert (Indiana - C) $4.5K - March 23 – Needing only around 27 fantasy points to make value, Hibbert has averaged 28 in his last four contests and goes up against a banged up Houston team that is struggling against opposing centers over the past several weeks.
Nikola Mirotic - (Chicago - PF) $7.6K – March 23 - Charlotte is looming large on the 23rd. Mirotic just made value against the Hornets coming off the bench. It helps that they have struggled against power forwards of late. He easily made value as a starter against Philadelphia in his previous game.
Brook Lopez (Brooklyn - C) $6.4K - March 23 – Lopez just scored 26 baskets and had 4 blocks against a solid Pacers team. The Celtics rank 21st against opposing centers. With that said, I wouldn’t chance it facing Indiana against on the 31st.
Pau Gasol (Chicago - PF) $8.8K – March 23 - Charlotte is struggling against power forwards and here we have one of the best in the league. Playing in Charlotte the last time, Gasol had trouble making value against the Hornets. He hit 36 or more fantasy points in three of his last four games.
Mike Conley (Memphis - PG) $6K – March 23 – He scored close to 40 fantasy points the last time playing the Knicks. This will be a game on the road. We don’t really see Conley sitting out for this one but there is always that possibility so monitor closely.
Gordon Hayward (Utah - SF) $7.6K - March 23 - Minnesota is giving up the 4th most fantasy points to opposing small forwards. Hayward scored 32 fantasy points in three of his last four games. Beware: The last time he faced the T-Wolves, for whatever the reason, Hayward struggled big time, and that was with nearly 35 minutes worth of production.
