Names of Those Indicted in Rhode Island Gambling Case Released

The names of some 20 individuals indicted as part of a grand jury case tied to illegal gambling in Rhode Island have been released.

Those indicted on charges of conspiracy to commit organized criminal gambling and organized criminal gambling, are: Thomas Pilderian, 45, of Cranston; Mark Battista, 39, of Warwick; Timothy Moretti, 47, of Cranston; Mark Marinaro, 44, of Smithfield; Joseph Brunelle, 38, of North Providence; Eric Glaude, 41, of North Providence; Sean Furney, 25, of Warwick; Lewis Silveira, 51, of Warwick; Louis Scaglione, 25, of West Warwick; Joseph Cappelli, 39, of Cranston; Brian Cipolla, 48, of Cranston; Christopher Costantino, 25, of Warwick; Jason Pilderian, 39, of Scituate; Jonny Lubo, 45, of Warwick; David Disano, 43, of Cranston; and Dustin Sears, 41, of Cranston.

James Petrella, 31, of Narragansett, was indicted on charges of conspiracy to commit organized criminal gambling; organized criminal gambling; conspiracy to violate the Rhode Island Uniform Controlled Substances Act; possession of marijuana with intent to deliver; possession of marijuana over five kilograms; and possession of a controlled substance (hydrocodone).

John Depietro, 42, of South Kingstown, was indicted on charges of conspiracy to violate the Rhode Island Uniform Controlled Substances Act; possession of a controlled substance (marijuana) with intent to deliver; and possession of a controlled substance (amphetamine).

Zhen Wu, 32, and Shu Ruan, 41, both of Cranston, were indicted on charges of conspiracy to violate the Rhode Island Uniform Controlled Substances Act; possession of a controlled substance (marijuana) with intent to deliver, and possession of marijuana over five kilograms.
