Baltimore Orioles 2022 World Series Futures Are Biggest Liability at BetOnline

For the past few years, the Baltimore Orioles have ranked among the worst teams in Major League Baseball.  They were currently at 75-1 odds to win this year's World Series.

Amazingly, the Orioles represent the biggest liability at BetOnline.  This indicates that enough people have gotten down on Baltimore that a World Series win would result in some pretty signficant losses for the book.

It's doubtful Dave Mason, Adam Burns and the rest of the gang at BetOnline have to worry much.

Or do they?

The Orioles sit at 46-46 (.500) in a very tough division that includes the Yankees, Red Sox, Blue Jays and Rays.  Each of these teams were in the win column.  Baltimore sat 18 games behind the Yankees but just five games behind the number two Rays.

And, get this: Only three other teams outside the AL East in the American League have better records than Baltimore.

Oh, did we mention that the Orioles had won eleven of their last thirteen games ahead of the All-Star Break?  That included a span of ten consecutive wins.

Ninety-two games into the 2022 season and they already have one fewer win than they did all year in 2018.

The O's have a solid closer in Jorge López, who enjoyed some stellar play in the All-Star Game.

Baltimore is certainly one of the biggest surprises of this season thus far.
