Ice Box Kentucky Derby odds were at +800 or 8/1 at BetUS.com (see website here).  Ice Box was among 6 Kentucky Derby contenders with single digit odds at BetUS.com.  He was also the third favorite after Lookin' At Lucky and Sidney's Candy.

Ice Box will be racing from the number two position, which has seen 9 wins since 1900.  It is among the more favorable spots in which to start out statistically.

Ice Box, sired by Pulpit and out of a Tabasco Cat mare, Spice Island was a $125,000 Keeneland yearling purchase. He is owned by Robert V La Penta and trained by Nick Zito

The son of Pulpit burst onto the Kentucky Derby trail when he won $450,000 for the Florida Derby.

This year will mark the 14th time in the last 21 years that Zito will have had a horse in the Derby.

At 8/1 odds, Ice Box would pay $80 for every $10 bet.
