Phil Hellmuth in Bad Shape Coming Into The Poker Players Championship: Viktor Blom Leads
Phil Hellmuth, looking for his 13th record World Series of Poker bracelet, can’t be feeling too confident entering today’s Poker Players Championship.
Out of 26 players, he is number 26 in the chip count.
Hellmuth tweeted soon after the event ended for the day Tuesday:

Online Poker to be Voted on Today in Delaware Senate

The online poker measure, House Bill 333, is part of more expansive gambling legislation strongly backed by the Markell administration, which includes offering casino gambling in additional locations as well as widening sports wagering options.

(Market Watch) - Shuffle Master, Inc. (nasdaq global select market:SHFL) ("Shuffle Master" or the "Company") today announced that after careful consideration it has decided not to proceed with the acquisition of Ongame Network Limited.
The Poker Players Championship 2012: Andy Bloch, Michael Mizrachi on Top
The Poker Players Championship 2012 WSOP event was down to 37 players at press time with noted pros Andy Bloch and Michael Mizrachi leading the pack.
Other notable names among the remaining 37 were Phil Hellmuth (16th among the chip leaders) and Phil Ivey (30th out of 36).
Winner takes home over $1.4 million. 16 players will cash out at a minimum of $91,549.
The defending champion Brian Rast was all in preflop and up against Ben Yu before he found himself eliminated in 38th place.

Internet Poker Bill Vote Delayed in Delaware
A Senate vote to delay Internet poker in the state of Delaware has been delayed.
The absence of one key Democratic leader raised concerns over whether there would be enough votes to pass the measure through.

2012 WSOP Updates: Henry Lu, Oleksii Kovalchuk Latest Bracelet Winners
Henry Lu has won his first bracelet at the No Limit Hold’em Event #43 while Oleksii Kovalchuk won his at the Event #42: Omaha/Seven Card Stud Hi-Low 8 or Better.
Lu, a 22-year-old New Yorker, walked away with $654,380.
Delaware Senate to Vote on Internet Poker, Web Gambling Today
A bill to legalize online poker and other forms of Web gambling will be voted on in the state Senate on Tuesday (June 26, 2012). It is widely expected to pass.
The bill cleared a Senate committee Wednesday despite complaints from church leaders who say it is morally wrong. Delaware's harness racing industry also opposes the bill, saying its members wouldn't get a fair share of the gambling proceeds.

WSOP Results: David Baker, Dung Nguyen Win Bracelets
Two more WSOP bracelets were handed out overnight Friday, one to David Baker and another to Dung Nguyen.
For both men, it was their first World Series of Poker bracelets.
Baker won the Eight Game Mix and pocketed $271,312. He now has just shy of $2.7 million in live winnings to date, having cashed out in 83 events.
Poker Pro Vanessa Rousso is a Cockroach! Gets Exterminated

Rousso, for reasons unknown at this time, arrived at one of the World Series of Poker events dressed up in a cockroach costume.

Sprint Poker Goes Live at Bet365
Sprint Poker, a fast fold poker platform being offered by Bet365, is the first to go live using Playtech’s Speed Hold’em.
The new product was expected to debut in July but Bet365 apparently decided it did not want to wait that long.
Speed Hold’em mimics the popular model based on the now defunct Rush Poker, which allows quick fold pre-flop and easy transfer to a new table.

Craig McCorkell won the most recent championship event, played at the 2012 World Series of Poker. He overcame a strong field of 587 players en route to his first major tournament victory, which took place in the No-Limit Hold'em Shootout (Event #36).
Nevada Gives Final Approval to William Hill, Others
The Nevada Gaming Commission has officially granted licenses to William Hill, Bally Technologies and International Game Technology to operate online gambling and, in the case of Hill, sports betting operations within the Silver State.
Antonio Esfandiari Looking for Second WSOP Bracelet
Poker pro Antonio Esfandiari was in search for his second World Series of Poker bracelet at the No-Limit Hold'em Shootout (2,000 player max) event Thursday night.
Only four players remained at press time.
Esfandiari has cashed out 39 times over his career with 4 first place finishes. He has accumulated over $4.2 million in live poker earnings over his playing career.
Delaware Online Gambling: Only Church Groups, Harness Racing Interests Stand in Way
Delaware appears to have little opposition in its attempt to pass a measure legalizing online gambling, including Web poker, in the state. Delaware is the first state to openly express an interest in forming state compacts. Both Rhode Island and West Virginia have been mentioned at the onset.
First Japanese Poker Player to Win World Series of Poker Bracelet: Naoya Kihara
Naoya Kihara has become the first Japanese poker player to win a World Series of Poker bracelet.
Kihara won the $5,000 buy-in Six-Handed Pot-Limit Hold’em championship and the $512,029 that came with it.
This is the 30-year-old professional’s second time to cash in a WSOP event and the second year he has traveled from Tokyo to Las Vegas to play at the World Series of Poker.
Cake Poker Extends Guaranteed Tournaments: Felipe Mojave has Bounty on Head
Popular online poker site, Cake Poker is extending its augmented guaranteed tournament schedule this month, which includes a $100,000 Guaranteed and $65,000 Guaranteed Super Stack on Sundays. Additionally, both large guaranteed tournaments will feature Brazilian poker professional, Felipe Mojave, playing with a $1,000 bounty on his head.
