The primary legislator backing Poker Voters of America lobbying efforts to legalize online poker in the state of California, Senator Rod Wright, has been hit by 8 felony charges including voter fraud, false declaration of candidacy and two counts of perjury. The Senator was also a scheduled key note speaker for the upcoming 9th Annual European iGaming Congress and Expo.
Beth Holloway Meets With Joran van der Sloot
The mother of missing teen Natalie Holloway, Beth Holloway, met with Joran van der Sloot in a Peruvian prison on Wednesday. Van der Sloot is the prime suspect in Natalie, who went missing in Aruba just over five years ago. He has also confessed to the murder of Peruvian student Stephany Flores earlier this summer while participating in the Latin American Poker Tour sponsored by PokerStars.net.
