Major networks cut in to the news shortly after 10:40 pm ET just as Donald Trump’s Celebrity Apprentice episode was to reveal the next firing (elimination results).  Trump, as everyone knows, has ruled the political stage in recent weeks with demands for US President Barack Obama to show his long born birth certificate.  Many have speculated that Trump is using the political arena to help boost ratings for his television empire.

Senator Jon Kyl May Support Legalized Online Poker?

The very man who co-authored legislation prohibiting most forms of Internet gambling, outgoing Arizona Republican Senator Jon Kyl, may consider a measure that would exempt online poker.

The revelation from Senator Kyl comes right from his own website, under the heading of Updating the Law to Account for New Technologies

Online Poker: Welcome to the Bank of Al Qaeda, 6-Year Old Gamblers

The GOP has taken a tough stance against legalizing online poker following last Friday’s crackdown, linking the activity to everything from drug trafficking to Al Queda.

A software engineer recently wrote to Congress, expressing fears that Democrat Barney Frank’s co-sponsored bill to legalize online gambling (HR 1174) is effectively an invitation for the 'Bank of Al Qaeda’.
