Anthony Weiner’s odds of being elected the next New York City Mayor are actually pretty good all things considered.  Opponent Christine Quinn is listed at 7-4 odds.

PaddyPower.com, an Irish online bookmaker, has given Weiner odds of 11-4.

The married Weiner stepped down from his Congressional position in June of 2011 after texting half naked pictures of himself to another female.  He announced his intention to run for Mayor two weeks ago.

I’ve had two years on — what do you call it? — injured reserve,” Weiner said. “I think I would say to New Yorkers: I kind of am what I am. I fight passionately for things I care about.

“I don’t want my mayor to be passive in the face of outrageous things. I have the velvet glove available. I have the iron fist available.”
