Condi Rice’s Man Peter McKay May Get Nato Job
There were rumors once floating around that Condoleeza Rice had fallen for Canadian Defense Minister, Peter McKay, during a trip to that nation. Gambling911.com did little to quell such rumors. Indeed, this would have been a more powerful political couple than Hillary and Bill Clinton.
At the time, McKay was Canada's Foreign Minister. But there was nothing foreign about his encounter with Condi Rice.
"This has been a lovely trip, Peter," said Ms Rice at the end of a relaxing visit to Pictou County, Nova Scotia, the prosperous and beautiful home district of Mr MacKay, a 41-year-old bachelor at the time.
Today, McKay has his eyes set on the prize....and no we're not talking about Condoleeza Rice, although that's certainly not out of the question either. She was just in Canada again this week.
Canadian Defense Minister Peter McKay is favored to win the top job at NATO, according to the folks at online gambling website BetUS.com.
Reed Richards of BetUS.com:
"With NATO's top post ready to be filled and Vice President Joe Biden's statements that the US will weigh potential candidates from all of NATO's members, speculation around the world is at a fever pitch with regard to what country will lead the alliance. With the chance that this may be the first time a Canadian or Eastern European leader fills the role, both public citizens and leaders around the globe are looking for answers."
Analysts at BetUS.com posted the following odds on who will fill NATO's top post:
Anders Fogh Rasmussen 6/5
Peter MacKay 1/1
Jonas Gahr Stoere 8/1
Radoslaw Sikorski 6/1
Donald Tusk 6/1
Des Browne 10/1
Any Other Candidate 4/1
