US President Donald Trump's probe into Jerome Powell has caused havoc across the political and financial sectors.
The world (and oddsmakers) doesn't expect Powell to be convicted for any criminal activity, but we've come to expect the unexpected this day and age so who knows.
BetOnline.ag has set Powell's conviction odds at a lofty 5/1, equating to just a 17% chance (which honestly seems higher than it should be but then again...).
However, the chances of Powell being removed from the Federal Reserve board before 2027 are 50-50, so that says something.
Finally, there are eight people with respective odds for who Trump will nominate to be the next Fed Chair. Kevin Warsh is the favorite, followed closely by Kevin Hassett.
When the above odds first opened in August 2025, Christopher Waller was favorite while Hassett had 4/1 odds and Warsh 9/2.
Rick Rieder's odds have gone from 25/1 to 11/1 while Judy Shelton's odds have dropped from 50/1 to 20/1.
Odds have moved against Michelle Bowman and Stephen Miran, going from 12/1 to 50/1 (Bowman) and 18/1 to 50/1 (Miran), respectively.
