Joe Biden Money Too Much for Online Gambling Websites
Sportsbook.com and others began pulling down odds for the Democratic Vice President pick Thursday on word that Joe Biden is a "virtual lock" to be selected by Barack Obama.
Speculation is increasing that Barack Obama's choice for vice president will be foreign policy expert Joe Biden.
If Mr Biden is selected as a running mate it would underline Democratic fears that Mr Obama's inexperience in world affairs is costing him votes.
The VP choice was a difficult one for Obama, a source close to the Illinois senator tells CNN's Gloria Borger.
Specifically Obama was "very hung up on the experience versus change," the source said, and how his message of change may conflict with a longtime Washington insider.
The source doesn't know who Obama ultimately chose, but confirms Sens. Joe Biden and Evan Bayh, along with Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine are all in the running.
With substantial money pouring into Sportsbook.com on Biden, it was time to close the bet, a spokesperson for the company told Gambling911.com.
Sportsbook.com will be offering a state-by-state "action" platform leading up to the 2008 US Presidential Elections which should give a very clear picture of which states will go to Obama and which to Senator John McCain. The platform will measure betting volume for each candidate per state and presented on the Gambling911.com website.
