Could MAGA Rally at MSG Hurt Trump? 'Puerto Rico Floating Island of Garbage'
GOP candidate and former US president Donald Trump's rally at Madison Square Garden drew a massive crowd but the event also drew controversy prior to anyone even arriving.
Notably, in 1939, Madison Square Garden around this time was the site of consecutive rallies for pro-Nazi and Communist Party supporters as tensions rose before World War II. Some were labeling Trump's MSG event as a "Nazi rally" and, indeed, speaker Sid Rosenberg, who happens to be Jewish, called it that during his appearance there Sunday afternoon.
Radio host Sid Rosenberg, who called Doug Emhoff a ‘crappy Jew’ at Trump’s MSG rally:

“I just got back from Israel.. and they go, Sid, you want to speak at this MSG thing? I go, ‘Sure — out of character for me to speak at a Nazi rally. I was just in Israel.’ But I took the gig.” pic.twitter.com/nUsaovTeaQ
And to think that was the least controversial thing said.
At Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally, podcast host and comedian Kill Tony referred to Puerto Rico as a “floating island of garbage,” during his set.

He also said: “Heck yeah. That’s cool, a Black guy with a thing on his head. What the hell is that? A lampshade? …I’m just kidding. That’s one of my buddies. He had a Halloween party last night. We had fun. We carved watermelons together.”

Good News, Bad News for Harris
Democratic candidate and the current vice president, Kamala Harris, has regained the national lead, according to a newly released ABC News/Ipsos Poll.
Just 2 percentage points divide Harris and Donald Trump among all registered voters, 49-47%. This goes to a slight Harris advantage among likely voters, 51-47%, with some pro-Harris groups showing a bit more propensity to vote.
Compared with earlier this month, Harris has regained a more customary Democratic advantage among Hispanic people and widened her advantage among suburban women, while remaining strong in core groups including Black people. Trump pushes back in rural areas and among non-college white men, and runs competitively among younger men.

Big Bets on Trump Came From France
NEW YORK, Oct 24 (Reuters) - The mystery bettor on election gambling site Polymarket who made large bets on a Trump election victory is a French national who took a position based on a personal view of the presidential race, Polymarket said in a statement on Thursday.
Four accounts have bet heavily on Trump winning, with the total potential payout of those wagers standing at about $46 million as of Thursday, according to the website.
The bets, coming with the rise in Trump's odds on Polymarket, raised questions by social media users about whether they were swaying the markets or whether prediction markets were simply a better leading indicator of the race.
