Best Actor Odds – 2014 Academy Awards (Updated)

Best Actor odds for the 2014 Academy Awards had Matthew McConaughey as the odds-on favorite still at Bookmaker.  These odds were listed at 1/5.  In Oscar terms, McConaughey is not necessarily a “lock”.

Leonardo DiCaprio was listed among the Field options that would pay better than 5/1 odds. He is seen as someone that could potentially upset at this year’s Academy Awards, though we at Gambling911.com just don’t see that happening.

Oscar Picks 2014 From Gambling911.com: What to Bet

Gambling911.com has your Oscar picks, or should we say Oscar pick since there is only one “sure bet” with decent value.

And that pick is on “12 Years a Slave”.

Unlike most categories, the Best Picture Oscar has decent pricing for the favorite – that being “12 Years a Slave” primarily due to “Gravity” having pull as a potential sleeper.

‘12 Years a Slave’ Odds to Win Academy Award Best Picture – Best Odds

“12 Years a Slave” odds to win the Academy Award for Best Picture varied from one online bookmaker to the next, though the film remained favored to win.  There is actually really good value in betting “12 Years a Slave” barring an upset.

“12 Years a Slave”, while a decent size favorite, is by no means a “lock” to win by Oscar terms.  “Gravity” had relatively short odds and its director was a huge favorite to win the Best Director Oscar.
