Odds to Win Gold - Women's Alpine Skiing - Downhill, Slalom, Super G - 2018 Winter Olympics
Lindsey Vonn was a slight favorite to win the 2018 Winter Olympics Alpine Skiing Women Downhill event at EVEN odds while Sofia Goggia was coming in at 2/1 to win the gold.
Goggia represents Italy. She made her World Cup debut in December 2011 and primarily competed on the European Cup circuit until the 2016 World Cup season.
Vonn is an American World Cup alpine ski racer on the US Ski Team. She has won four World Cup overall championships
Vonn is a co-favorite to win the Super G with Swiss World Cup Alpine ski racer Lara Gut, with a potential payout on either right around 2/1.
"I feel free when I ski and it's important to feel happy at the end of the day,” Gut said to CNN. “I'm just trying to get better every day and this season everything just seems to feel better."
Mikaela Shiffrin and Viktoria Rebensburg were co-favorites to win the Giant Shalom event. Each would pay around $15 on a $10 bet.
Shiffrin is an American World Cup alpine ski racer and the reigning Overall World Cup champion as well as the reigning Olympic and world champion in slalom. Additionally, Shiffrin is a four-time winner of the World Cup discipline title in that event. Shiffrin is the youngest slalom champion in Olympic alpine skiing history, at 18 years and 345 days.
Rebensburg is a German alpine ski racer and the 2010 Olympic gold medalist in the giant slalom. After finishing 28th in the Olympic super-G, she won gold in the giant slalom, her first victory in international competition.
Shiffrin is a huge -333 favorite to win the Slalom.
