PokerStars US Payouts Now Available

Though a statement has yet to be released by PokerStars at this time, the online poker firm is now allowing US players to withdraw funds.

US players were shut out of the world’s largest online poker room on April 15 following an indictment against the company by the US Justice Department.  The company and its founder have been charged with money laundering and bank fraud.

Microgaming Online Casinos Pulling out of US Market

Reports have surfaced that Microgaming, one of the largest providers of online casinos, will no longer allow US players.

The company had previously pulled its poker network out of the US market following attempts by the Commonwealth of Kentucky to seize several dozen online gambling-related domain names.  Some Microgaming casinos continued to operate in states where the activity was not specifically deemed illegal.

The move appears to have coincided with a crackdown against the three largest US-facing Internet poker rooms on April 15.

Online Poker Indictments: Hopefully History Repeats Itself

The question people are asking this Monday:  Will I get my money back from PokerStars, Full Tilt Poker, UB.com following Friday's indictments?

It was early 2007 when Gambling911.com first broke the news that the two founders of online payment transfer company, NETeller, had been arrested on US soil.  At the time, NETeller was the biggest facilitator of payments for online gambling websites.

Over a 24 hour period, some G911 readers reacted swiftly by withdrawing funds.  It would take another 24 hours before the major mainstream news outlets confirmed the story.
