Greg Raymer No Longer With PokerStars

2004 World Series of Poker champion Greg “FossilMan” Raymer has confirmed rumors that he parted ways with the world’s largest online poker room, PokerStars.com. 

Few details were offered related to the decision that Rayer, whose moniker comes from his love of collecting fossils, confirmed on the TwoPlusTwo.com website.

Some Vegas Sportsbooks Saved by Last Minute Steelers Surge

“We took a ton of Steeler moneyline bets,” Sportsbook Director Mike Colbert told the Las Vegas Sun. “I expected Steeler money to come in today and it did. It was a lot more than I expected. We really tried to balance the book, but it just so happened that the Packers were much better for us.”

Online Poker Traffic Falls Off 2.5 Percent This Week: Could Get Worse

With the troubles at the world’s two largest online poker rooms, PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker, continuing this week, traffic across the board has dropped 2.5 percent. 

The two card rooms have had trouble paying out customers via popular methods such as eChecks and bank wires as a result of an ongoing investigation by US Federal authorities.   The US Attorney’s office out of Baltimore, Maryland, is heading up the probe, alleging money laundering by payment facilitators used by both companies.  Three individuals named in the case agreed to cooperate with authorities.

Boyfriend of Disney Employee Traded “Insider Info” to Support Gambling Habit

The boyfriend of an ex-Disney employee was sentenced to two years and three months for trying to sell access to Mickey Mouse’s financial secrets.

Prosecutors contend that Yonni Sebbag, the boyfriend of former Walt Disney Co. administrative assistant Bonnie Hoxie, contacted dozens of hedge funds and investment companies in an effort to sell “insider trading secrets” as a means of supporting his gambling addiction.

The FBI was alerted upon learning that Sebbag offered $15,000 for the information.
