Online Poker Traffic Sees 3 Percent Drop Off: Bodog Poker Hits 1000 Mark

Last week the online poker industry witnessed another 3 percent drop in traffic.

Nine of the top ten networks saw a drop.  Merge Poker was the lone exception, seeing a 4 percent increase in traffic.  That network is supposed to begin allowing new US registrants any day now.

Bodog Poker and Cake Poker, both of which accept US customers, enjoyed modest gains as well, “indicating a general resurgence for US-facing sites,” according to PokerScout.com.

Second Class Action Lawsuit Filed Against Full Tilt Poker

Yet another class action lawsuit has been filed against the now defunct online poker firm Full Tilt Poker.

Two Canadians, Zayn Jetha and Donald Whelan, are the plaintiffs in the latest action, which was filed in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York last week.

PartyGaming Bwin Takeover Rumors: Everest Revenue Down 19 Percent

Online poker news for August 19, 2011 has PartyGaming Bwin as a possible takeover target while the online poker network Everest continues to witness a drastic decline in revenues. 

Bwin.Party became the world’s largest online gambling company after the two companies merged back in March.  Rumors of an entry into the US market have prompted news that Wynn Resorts might be interested in taking over the firm.  The UK’s largest bookmaker, William Hill, has also been linked to a potential takeover of Bwin.Party.
