2010 Super Bowl Odds (Updated Saturday Morning)

2010 Super Bowl Odds on the Saints vs. Colts featured a line of Indianapolis -5 with a few -4 ½'s sprinkled in.  SportsInteraction.com offered the -5 odds and there was some indication that the line would be moving back up to -5 ½ or -6.  66 percent of the backing in this game was going to Indianapolis.  Moving the line closer to the "6" would likely encourage more betting on New Orleans.

Super Bowl Line More Stable Friday

After some very erratic movement over the past 24 hours which witnessed four different numbers, the 2010 Super Bowl line began to settle in around Colts -4 ½ and -5.

The line had been at -6 at some of the more recreational shops heading into Thursday morning before most books brought it down to -4 ½, the lowest it's been since opening.  A few gambling sites offered the line at -5 and -5 ½ during the transition period.

While the line moved dramatically, action on the Colts stayed relatively high.

Why The Indianapolis Colts Win The 2010 Super Bowl

The Indianapolis Colts will win the 2010 Super Bowl, at least on paper.  And here are some of the reasons:

Experience

Peyton Manning and the Colts have been to a Super Bowl already in the last five years.  In fact, 27 Colts have played in the big game while New Orleans is making its first Super Bowl appearance ever. 19 of 27 teams making it to the Super Bowl for the very first time have lost in their debut.  This is a vital trend that cannot be ignored when considering why the Indianapolis Colts should win the 2010 Super Bowl.
