Ffos Las 14:20 Betting Odds 28 November

Ffos Las 14:20 betting odds had Phardessa getting slightly more action than Red Rouble for the 28 November race.   Phardessa, at 14/1 odds (Ladbrokes), was the biggest mover coming into Monday.

Time Form says of Phardessa: 

Has stood little racing in recent years, but looked set to take a hand on return over hurdles at Chepstow before paying price for early keenness. Has solid record over fences and considered.

Red Rouble was the favorite at 5/2 odds.

UK Racing Carlisle 27 November

UK racing for the Carlisle 27 November had three of the biggest movers:  Etxalar, Bollin Fiona and Dickie Henderhoop. 

Etxalar was getting 36 percent of the betting action in the Carlisle 14:25 3m 2f Class 3 Christmas Parties at Carlisle Racecourse Handicap Chase (4yo plus) at 8/1 odds

The reviews are not great for Etxalar despite the amount of action flowing in.

Newbury 13:30 Betting Odds: The Boss a Huge Mover

Newbury 13:30 betting odds had The Boss as one of the biggest movers in Irish and English horse racing Saturday 26 November.  This is the 2m 6f 110yrds Class 3 Sportingbet Novices Handicap Chase (For The Fulke Walwyn Trophy) (4yo plus).

Racebooks were coming in with a price of 8 to 1.

The Boos is described as the “point winner who paid his way over hurdles/fences last season, rounding off with 21f handicap win at Warwick. Back over the bigger obstacles on return, and yard could hardly be in better form.”

Drosselmeyer Wins the Breeders Cup Classic 2011 in Shocker: Mike Smith Beats Ex

Drosselmeyer has won the Breeders Cup Classic 2011 with odds of 25-1.

Mike Smith defeated his ex-girl friend Chantal Sutherland, who led much of the way with Game On Dude and finished second.   This was won right at the wire.

Game On Dude and Uncle Mo had led much of the way.

Court Vision Upsets Breeders Cup Mile as 64 to 1 Long Shot

Court Vision has won the $2 million TVG Breeders Cup Mile paying an amazing 64 to 1 or $6400 for every $100 bet.  This was one of the richest payouts in Breeders Cup history. 

Court Vision had previously won the Woodbine Mile-G1 and Gulfstream Park Turf H-G1. 

This race was initially too tight to call with Court Vision and Turallure passing the favorite and three-time reigning champion Goldikova in the stretch.

Flat Out Breeders Cup Odds Still 5 to 1: Uncle Mo Now 6 to 1 Odds

Flat Out was still listed at 5 to 1 odds Saturday morning, vying for the “favorite” position with Uncle Mo and Havre De Grace. 

Trainer Scooter Dickey insisted Flat Out was in perfect health and ready to race following his morning hoof massage.

Flat Out has been plagued by injuries in the past and previously suffered from foot problems.

Blacksmith Tommy Wildey confirmed: “His feet are the best they’ve been since I’ve been working on them.”

Uncle Mo is still technically the favorite with some books still offering his odds at 3/1 while none of the other two aforementioned contenders have a prices slashed that low as of this writing.

News broke on Tuesday that Prayer For Relief, which was listed with 30/1 odds, has been pulled from the Breeders Cup Classic.  The decision was made after Prayer For Relief was found to be running a spiking fever at 103 degrees.

Game On Dude had early odds of 16/1 to win the Breeders Cup Classic 2011. 

Game On Dude could be an intriguing upset possibility in the Classic, the Breeders' Cup finale on Saturday, noted Gary West of ESPN.com.

"He just wants to get out there and go," Trainer Bob Baffert said about Game On Dude.

Game On Dude does have some impressive wins including the Santa Anita Handicap where he won at the Classic distance of 1 ¼ miles back in March.   More recently, Game On Dude won the Goodwood, also at Santa Anita.

Stay Thirsty Odds to Win Breeders Cup Classic up to 16 to 1

One week before the richest race in North America, a handful of online racebooks were listing Stay Thirsty with odds to win the Breeders Cup Classic as high as 16 to 1.  Stan James in the UK was offering Stay Thirsty at 10 to 1 odds. 

This is owner Mike Repole’s “other horse” with Uncle Mo the favorite to win this year’s Breeders Cup Classic. 

Stay Thirsty has won both the Grade II Jim Dandy Stakes and the 2011 Grade I Travers Stakes.

Sure there is plenty of competition but the only true favorite to win the upcoming Breeders Cup Classic 2011 is Uncle Mo, who was sidelined throughout the Triple Crown due to a liver ailment. 

Uncle Mo is also vying for the coveted “Horse of the Year” award.
