Online Poker Traffic Sees 3 Percent Drop Off: Bodog Poker Hits 1000 Mark
Last week the online poker industry witnessed another 3 percent drop in traffic.
Nine of the top ten networks saw a drop. Merge Poker was the lone exception, seeing a 4 percent increase in traffic. That network is supposed to begin allowing new US registrants any day now.
Bodog Poker and Cake Poker, both of which accept US customers, enjoyed modest gains as well, “indicating a general resurgence for US-facing sites,” according to PokerScout.com.

78 Charges Against 'Dougherty Gang'
A woman who stripped at poker games prior to allegedly robbing a bank and engaging in a shootout with Colorado law enforcement will face up to 78 charges along with her two siblings.
UPI.com reported that Lee Grace Dougherty, 29, and her brothers Dylan, 26, and Ryan 21, were in shackles when they appeared in a Walsenburg, Colo., court one after the other Monday, The Pueblo (Colo.) Chieftain reported.
Lee Grace Dougherty faced 29 complaints, Ryan Dougherty 24 and Dylan Dougherty 23.
California Online Poker Bill Dead Until 2012
A bill that would have legalized online poker in the state of California has been put on hold until 2012.
California state Sen. Presdient Darrell Steinberg broke the news that the bill proposed by Sen. Roderick Wright, chairman of the Governmental Organization Committee; and the other by Sen. Lou Correa would not have time to be heard prior to the end of the legislative year September 9.
“We believe that well-thought-out, fair solutions to these differences can be reached,'' Steinberg wrote.
