Malte Moennig Leads at EPT Grand Final 2014
EPT and PokerStars online regular Malte Moennig, who won his seat to the PokerStars and Monte-Carlo®Casino EPT Grand Final in a PokerStars 25,000 Frequent Player Point VIP Bash, is chip leader going in to Day 4. The 27-year-old from Cologne has 1,150,000, ahead of German player Sebastian von Toperczer who has 996,000. There are 41 players still left in the event which attracted 650 entries, generating a prize pool of €6.5 million.
HPT Adds Two More Stops to Season X Schedule
Fargo, ND – Building off a record year, Heartland Poker Tour (HPT) is raising the bar with even more tour stops in 2014. With two more nationally-televised tournaments added to the schedule, HPT’s Season X will now extend into December. Keven Stammen Wins the WPT Championship 2014
There are few soft spots in a field as talented as the 328 that entered the World Poker Tour World Championship sponsored by partypoker at the Borgata Hotel and Casino, and so it is fitting that there were no soft spots at the final table of six.
The table included Keven Stammen, Byron Kaverman, Tony Dunst, Ryan D'Angelo, Curt Kohlberg, and Abe Korotki, and in the end a large starting stack proved to be the difference in a relatively even collection of top poker talent.
Daniel Coleman Wins €100K Super High Roller at EPT 10 Grand Final
WCOOP Heads-Up champion Daniel "mrGR33N13" Colman has won the €100k Super High Roller for €1,539,300. The 23-year-old American, currently living in Rio, Brazil, beat high stakes online cash games pro Dan “jungleman12“ Cates after a one-hour heads-up battle. As well as his cash prize, Colman also receives a stunning bracelet worth €10,000 from Shamballa Jewels, the Official Braclet Sponsor of EPT Season 10 Super High Roller events. The tournament attracted a record-breaking 50 players which, with 12 re-entries, created a €6,015,240 prize pool.
Macau Regulars Dominate in Super High Roller Final 2014
Seven Macau high-stakes cash game players came to compete in this year’s €100k Super High Roller - and three of them have made the final. They include chip leader Rono Lo (aka Lo Shing Fung) who has 4,558,000, some distance ahead of Germany’s sensational Ole Schemion who has 2,818,000. Lo’s friends Richard Yong and Paul Phua will also be back in the Salles des Etoiles at 1pm tomorrow, having outlasted 42 of the entrants (so far) and now all guaranteed at least €241,000.
Miles Austin Now Ranks Among Top Athletes to Become Celebrity Poker Players
Two big names were out of the 2014 WPT World Championship Thursday. Dallas Cowboys player Miles Austin and World Series of Poker bracelet record holder Phil Hellmuth were ousted after going deep into the remaining 42 players. Austin did outlast Hellmuth for the recod.

David Yan Leads for Day 2 of EPT Sanremo 2014
There were 381 entries for Day 1b of the EPT Sanremo Main Event today which, combined with yesterday's 175 Day 1a entries gives a total field of 556 so far - however players have until start of play on Day 2 to buy in.
Leading the 316 players going in to Day 2 is David Yan from New Zealnd with 179,100 chips. The Day 1a chip leader was Cristiano Guerra who had 148,700. Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown Entries Exceed Guarantee
HOLLYWOOD, Fla. - The televised WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown Championship, which kicked off April 10 and continues through April 16 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, has drawn 1,795 entries, surpassing the $5 million guarantee and generating a $5,788,875 prize pool – the largest ever for a $3,500 buy-in tournament. First place will award $1,081,184 plus the coveted WPT Championship trophy. The televised Championship Final Table will take place at Hard Rock Live on Wednesday beginning at 3 p.m.
Cristiano Guerra Leads at EPT Sanremo 2014
There were 176 entries for Day 1a of the EPT Sanremo Main Event today and 103 remain, led by IPT Venice finalist Cristiano Guerra.
Also through to Day 2 are Team PokerStars Pros Vanessa Selbst and Pier Paolo Fabretti plus PokerStars.fr Team Online member Ronan Monfort as well as EPT Prague winner Julian Track and GPI European Rookie of the Year Adrian Mateos who both qualified online on PokerStars.
Borgata Using High Tech Chips at Spring Open in Wake of Scandal
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (Associated Press) — A cheating scandal at a casino poker tournament has led to new security measures, including chips that are more intricate, have more colors and include an authentication element that can be checked under ultraviolet light.
The Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa told The Associated Press it was using new chips for its Spring Open poker tournament that began Tuesday.
Technical Error at PokerStars Causes Massive Overlay for Tournament
The world’s leading real money online poker site, PokerStars, is blaming a technical error for a massive overlay in its Sunday $500,000 guarantee tournament. Less than half of that sum had already been generated prior to PokerStars abruptly shutting down the tournament for late registrations.

Ukraine is celebrating its first ever EPT champion with Oleksii Khoroshenin’s €578,392 win in the EPT Vienna Main Event in the stunning imperial Hofburg Palace.
Khoroshenin, 27, an EPT regular who currently lives in St Petersburg, has now jumped from #20 in the Ukraine all-time money list to #7. He made a three-way deal with runner-up Anthony Ghamrawi from Austria and German pro Marko Neumann before taking down the €5,300 tournament. It’s by far his biggest live cash and more than double his lifetime tournament winnings to date.

Gal eventually grabbed it all meaning he scored a €208,655 payday while Freund gained a €174,655 reward. EPT Vienna Main Event 2014 Set for Huge Numbers
A giant field is predicted for the EPT Vienna Main Event which kicks off at noon tomorrow at the stunning Hofburg Palace, the former imperial residence in the heart of the Austrian capital. (A record-breaking 1,432 players turned up for the Eureka Vienna Main Event, the debut event of the EPT Vienna Poker Festival and now down to just nine players.)
