Eureka Prague 2013 Hits 1,315 Runners

An incredible 949 players entered Day 1b of the €1,100 Eureka Prague Main Event today . With such a huge second flight, the total number of players climbed to 1,315 from 58 countries. It is by far the biggest Eureka event and, even more - the biggest Prague has ever seen.

Today's field included 12 EPT champions. Steve O'Dwyer, Kent Lundmark, Dimitar Danchev and PokerStars Team Online Mickey Petersen have joined the group of eight who were mentioned here.

Eureka Prague 2013 – End of Day 1A Chip Counts

Tonight, no one will sleep better than Jean-Yves Mallat from the United Arab Emirates. He has bagged the most chips out of 113 players who made it through a hectic 10 levels of play in the Eureka Prague Main Event today. Mallat will start day 2 of the €1,100 event on Tuesday with 246,500 chips and is currently the only player who has managed to get over the 200K mark. A total of 366 players started today and hundreds more are expected for Day 1b, making it the biggest Eureka event ever held.

Eureka Prague Hits 366 for Day 1A

The EPT & Eureka Prague Poker Festival has kicked off with the first flight of the €1,100 Eureka Main Event. After four levels, registration closed with a final day 1a field of 366. 
The first Team PokerStars Pro to enter the tournament was Eugene Katchalov. The Ukranian started very well and early seized a spot to come close to the overall chip lead. We are already through 6 levels, which means the players are now on a 75-minute dinner break.

PokerStars.IT IPT Saint Vincent Grand Final Season 5 – Payouts

An Italian player, Domenico Drammis, beat a field of 914 entries here in the Valle D’Aosta region, where the Italian Poker Tour generated a €558,546 prize pool. Drammis took home a €130,000 first prize as no deal was made at the final table.

Guillermo Olvero of Mexico Wins 2013 Punta Cana Poker Classic: 'Bears' All

Freidman Dominates Experienced HPT Final Table

Florence, IN - Adam Friedman of Gahanna, Ohio returned to Belterra Casino Resort over the weekend to improve on his fourteenth-place Heartland Poker Tour finish in March.  A successful pro player, Freidman has accumulated over $1.3 million in winnings and four World Series of Poker Final Tables.  A WSOP bracelet winner, Freidman was one of many accomplished players at Monday’s HPT Final Table at Belterra.  He was the only one with well over a million in chips.

Heartland Poker Tour Names Most Valuable Player: David Grandstaff

Heartland Poker Tour named its first-ever Most Valuable Player early Tuesday in the heart of the Heartland at Prairie Meadows Racetrack Casino Hotel in Altoona, Iowa. Local player David Grandstaff had it locked up with two wins in the series and a sixth-place finish.  As the Main Event came to a close, only one player had enough points to potentially oust him.  Chris Louviere would have to finish in first place to surpass Grandstaff and that seemed unlikely.  As HPT viewers have come to expect, anything can happen.

Daniel Negreanu Wins 2013 WSOPE High Roller Event

After a long day of battling against some of the best players in the world it was Daniel Negreanu who came out victorious at the 2013 World Series of Poker Europe High Roller event. 

Earlier Thursday Negreanu locked up the World Series of Poker Player of the Year title for the second time since having previously won it in 2004.

Thursday’s victory yielded €725,000, which helped boost his overall earnings to just over $19.5 million.

2013 WSOPE Final 6 Determined: Benny Spindler Leads

375 Players Enter 2013 World Series of Poker Europe Main Event

This year's World Series of Poker Europe Main event has 375 entries, a €3.6 million prize pool, and €1 million payout to the champion.

Remaining players from the first two days will be combined to kick off Monday’s play.

Among the more familiar names still taking part:  Phil Ivey, Antonio Esfandiari, Phil Hellmuth, Daniel Negreanu, Martin Finger, Max Steinberg, Shannon Shorr and Noah Schwartz.

$1 Million Big One for One Drop Returns in 2014

After a one year hiatus, the $1 Million Big One for One Drop will be returning in 2014 as part of the World Series of Poker.

Robin Ylitalo Wins PokerStars EPT London Main Event for £560,980

Swedish pro Robin Ylitalo has won the £5,250 PokerStars.com EPT London Main Event today for a £560,980 first prize.

The 27-year-old from Gothenberg, who made the final of EPT8 Campione, beat Greek player Georgios Karakousis heads-up to win his first EPT title and a stunning watch from Official EPT 10 Main Event Watch Sponsor SLYDE.

He said: “It’s amazing to win this, the best feeling. I absolutely thought I could do it... I thought I was able, but it didn’t happen. I can’t put words to how great it feels. I have been dreaming of this for a long time.”

Full Tilt Poker Montreal Festival Main Event 2013 Final Table Determined

Day 4 of the Full Tilt Poker Montreal Festival Main Event saw 25 players return and in just six hours the final table of nine was found.

The unfortunate player to bubble the final table was Jeremie Trepanier. Trepanier took the defeat with a smile and left the tournament in an agonizing 10th place (C$21,121).
