EPT Grand Final High Roller 2013 Winner Will Receive €1,211,600
The winner of this season's PokerStars and Monte-Carlo®Casino EPT Grand Final €25k High Roller will receive a whopping €1,211,600 first prize. There were 121 players in the event which, combined with 37 re-entries, means a total of 158 entries - creating a €3,871,000 prize pool.
As well as their cash prize, the winner will also receive a stunning bracelet worth €8,000 from Shamballa Jewels, Official Bracelet Sponsor of EPT Season 9.

Andrew Pantling Leads for Day 5 of EPT Grand Final
Canadian player Andrew Pantling won a massive pot against Norwegian Team PokerStars Pro Johnny Lodden in the last few moments of Day 4 to take the lead in the PokerStars and Monte-Carlo®Casino EPT Grand Final. He has 2,248,000 and Lodden is down to 1,352,000. Pantling, 30, from Ontario, won the €5k heads-up tourney here at the Grand Final three years ago, and was third in the 2009 Irish Open.

Former World Champion Chris Moneymaker last night won the €1,100 8-Game for €12,000 and a lovely shiny PokerStars trophy. Okay, it's not the $2,500,000 that he won back in 2003, nor is it going to boost his $3,488,787 in live winnings radically, but a win's a win.
Moneymaker, whose WSOP win is partly credited with kicking off the online poker revolution, topped a 1-2-3 podium finish for Team PokerStars Pro beating Matthias De Meulder and Chad Brown to the trophy.

LAPT Sao Paolo champion Victor Sbrissa is chip leader at the end of Day 1b of the PokerStars and Monte-Carlo®Casino EPT Grand Final today with 224,800.
The 24-year-old from Sao Paolo, one of ten Brazilians competing here, had an emotional victory in his home city just over a week ago when he took down the LAPT Main Event for $250,000, beating a 753-strong field - and a final table that included Team PokerStars Pros Leo Fernandez and Andre Akkari.
EPT Grand Final 2013 Day 1 Ends With Poker Pro Dan Smith Leading
EPT Barcelona Super High Roller champion Dan Smith is leading the PokerStars and Monte-Carlo®Casino EPT Grand Final at the end of Day 1a. Smith won €962,925 for his SHR victory in Barcelona last August. He also won three €5k events at last season's Grand Final as well as the €5k NL event in Prague this season.
EPT Grand Final Monaco Kicks Off
The highly anticipated EPT Grand Final was set to begin Monday at the Monte Carlo Bay Hotel and Casino Resort in Monaco.
The event will run May 6 thru May 15.
Buy-ins will range as low as €220 to as high as €100,000.

17 Players Remained Heading Into 2013 EPT Berlin
German player Roman Herold was the chip leader going in to Day 5 of EPT Berlin.
The 26-year-old has 4,485,000 after winning a monster pot against fellow German Alexander Helbig in the penultimate hand of the day. There were 17 players left in the tourney heading in Friday, all guaranteed at least €27,000 but all hoping to snag the first prize of €880,000.
Khac Trung Tran Wins 2013 APT Philippines Main Event
Australia native Khac Trung Tran has won the 2013 APT Philippines Main Event and the $124,000 grand prize.
205 players took part in the $2,700 buy-in event at Resorts World Manila.
Until recently, Tran has had 20 cashes in live poker events, having amassed just over $100,000 total. This is his biggest win to date.
Aku Joentausta Still the Chip Leader Going Into Day 4 of EPT9 Berlin
Finnish player Aku Joentausta was the overnight chip leader yet again Wednesday.
The 21-year-old, who came 14th at EPT Barcelona at the beginning of the season, goes into Day 4 of EPT9 Berlin with 1,039,000. He is one of 55 players who have made it through from the 168 who started the day. The survivors also include tennis legend and Team SportStar Boris Becker who is recording his best ever live event cash, guaranteed at least €15,000. His previous best was 97th at EPT Barcelona for €8,000.
Heartland Poker Tour Expands to West Coast

The world’s first anonymous poker player at a live event promised to pay anybody who managed to kick him out of APT Philipines $1,000, that man was a very pleasantly surprised Mark Dalimore.

European Poker Tour Announces First-Ever Monaco Cup for Grand Final Festival

Pieter de Korver Wins First Ever Berlin Cup Poker Tournament
EPT5 Grand Final champion Pieter de Korver has won the inaugural Berlin Cup after defeating German pro Sebastian Gohr heads-up. De Korver, 30, cut a three-way deal with Gohr and Russian player Anatoly Filatov to take €145,400 for his win.
Although de Korver, who comes from Leeuwarden in the Netherlands, has been taking a two-year break from EPTs, he has had a phenomenal run in the last few months including runner-up in the Amsterdam Master Classics in November and third place in the Hold'em Challenge Winter Edition in Namur in December.
Anatoly Filatov Chip Leads at Berlin Cup
Russian player Anatoly Filatov is chip leader for the final table tomorrow of the inauguaral €1,100 Berlin Cup event. The 24-year-old has 5,880,000 after eliminating Eddy Scharf.
Also still in contention for the €180.000 first prize are EPT Snowfest champion Vladimir Geshkenbein from Russia, EPT Grand Final winner Pieter de Korver from Holland and German pro Sebastian Gohr.
Lock Poker to Offer Its Own Exclusive Online Tournaments

EPT Snowfest champion Vladimir Geshkenbin is leading the remaining 36 players as the debut €1,100 Berlin Cup goes into Day 3 with 1,500,000 in chips. The 24-year-old Russian has already accrued more than $1.1million in live tournament winnings, including the €390,000 he snagged for taking down Snowfest in Season 7.
Tampa Downs Summer Series 2013 Announced: Second Big Florida Poker Tournament
The Players Poker Championship has unveiled its Tampa Downs Summer Series 2013 schedule, which runs July 15-21.
The two-day Main Event will take place on July 21. The event itself be held at the Silks Poker Room.
This is the second big poker tournament to be announced for the state of Florida in recent days.
Poker Player Esben Guenther Leads After Day 2 of 2013 Berlin Cup
Norwegian player Esben Guenther is leading the remaining 281 players as the €1,100 Berlin Cup goes into Day 2. There were 638 players today and 196 made it through, including EPT Snowfest champion Vladimir Geshkenbein, EPT Berlin winner Kevin MacPhee, Erich Kollmann, Jan Collado, EPT Player of the Year Ondrej Vinklarek, EPT Kyiv winner Max Lykov, Pieter de Korver, Max Heinzelmann, Kevin Vandersmissen and Ana Marquez They will be joining the 85 Day 1a survivors for Day 2.
2013 Berlin Cup Attracts 638 Poker Players
There were 638 players for Day 1b of the €1,100 Berlin Cup today which combined with yesterday's 273-strong Day 1a field, means 911 players in total, creating a €883,670 prize pool with €180,000 for first. 112 places paid.
Nearly half the players (435 / 48%) came from Germany - more than ten times the number from the next biggest country Russia, which has 5% of the field with 43 players. It's the first time the Berlin Cup has ever been held and the €883,670 prize pool far exceeds the €500,000 guarantee.
