Free Baseball Picks – August 17: Gambling911.com on 20-8 Run
We suffered our first overall daily loss in some time with a crushing come-from-behind defeat of Cincinnati by the Milwaukee Brewers in the bottom of the 9th inning, resulting in a 0-1 loss. In past days Gambling911.com has either broken even or enjoyed a winning day. We are currently on a 20-8 run over the past three weeks. Our first pick of the day will be on the Arizona/Pittsburgh OVER 7.5. This series has gone OVER the current total in the last 7 meetings, including yesterday.
Prior to yesterday’s 2-6 loss, Arizona had scored 5 or more runs in 7 of their last 10 games overall. The Pirates have scored 5 or more runs in their last 3 games.
Diamondbacks RH Trevor Cahill (3-10, 4.66 ERA) is coming off the disabled list. His last outing was a complete disaster where he was pounded with three homers and six runs in just 4..5 innings against Atlanta.
The Pirates LH Jeff Locke (9-3, 2.43) has permitted four hits or fewer in 14 of his 23 starts. Locke has surrendered three runs or fewer in 16 of his last 17 starts and has yielded only three home runs during that span. He has struggled in control over his last few outings and is winless in his last four, however.
Pirates left fielder Starling Marte has hit safely in all eight career games against Arizona and is batting .438 against them.
Arizona is 3-8 in the last 11 meetings in Pittsburgh. The Pirates have won 6 straight at home.
Our second pick is the Cincinnati/Milwaukee UNDER 8. Mat Latos is going for his 6th straight game allowing 2 or fewer runs.
Yovani Gallardo (8-9, 4.91) is coming off the disabled list. He has allowed 9 earned runs over his last 2 starts. His prior outings were not the greatest though he did play well vs. Cincinnati in his last appearance.
9 of 11 games in this series have gone UNDER the total this season.
Our third pick is on the Cincinnati Reds at -145. A little pricey but some books were offering the Reds at -155. We typically don’t like to go over -140 with our plays but Gambling911.com will occasionally flirt with a number under -150 if circumstances allow. Just too hard to resist.
