NBA Ref Placed Extensive Phone Calls to Second Ref During Gambling Period

Former NBA referee Tim Donaghy made frequent phone calls to a second referee during the same period of time in which he provided inside information to professional gamblers.

Fox News reported the story on Monday, after it obtained court documents and phone records. They showed Donaghy made 134 calls to fellow referee Scott Foster between October 2006 and April 2007 -- the same span of time he admitted to betting on games or providing inside information to gamblers. The number of calls surpassed the 126 calls he made to his bookie, the report said.
